We stopped in here for a meal around 2 pm and were automatically given the dinner menu, but then I requested the lunch menu, you can save about $10 per entrée. If you are not a big eater, this is a good option, and the portions are still more than adequate. I had the chicken schnitzel, was not too thrilled... More

The meat platter was very good. My wife had the traditional chicken dinner and everything was very tasty. The only thing that was disappointing was that no jelly/jam was served with the bread. This has always been done in the past. People seated next to us actually ran down to the store and bought a jar of jam to go... More

Visited Frankenmuth with family Sunday before Christmas. Seated quickly. Service was friendly but unreasonably slow for a restaurant that was not at capacity. Ordered the sausage combination plate. Hit dogs have more flavot than this sausage. Bread did not seem fresh baked. Sauerkraut was rather bland. Very over priced for what I got. Rest of family felt the same and... More

Visited the restaurant for a second time during a recent holiday shopping excursion to Frankenmuth. The food was good...definitely home style cooking. Service at the restaurant is a bit slow, so don't expect to stop at this restaurant for a "quick" bite. Desserts are very good, and their cranberry sauce is extremely good. One piece of advice. Ask for a... More

We generally come for the dinner, but made it for lunch this time. We frequent 2 or 3 times per year for decades. The bread selection was very poor. There used to be at least 3 types, but this time there were only 2 types and mostly heels. Next, 2 of us ordered the chicken plate. I ordered the 3... More

There's something about their chicken dinner that's addictive. First there's a few different types of bread, then four salads including great chicken salad, a small of soup, ahhh, then chicken, dressing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and the buttered noodles I never find room for. Put it all together and it makes for a very good meal. I've tried other dishes, which... More

Got in line at 3pm last Saturday to beat the rush. Bad plan. Over an hour wait. Food was ok, had the sausage plate and Sauerbraten. Sausage was lukewarm and Sauerbraten was like roast beef with sweet and sour sauce on top. Beer was good and service was excellent!
