My wife and I had reservations and were a little late. We got in line and the seated us promptly and let us wait 25 minutes before a waiter showed up. I had to ask an employee setting a table to get us a waiter/waitress or we were leaving. The service was slow, he said he would tell his supervisor... More

The Bavarian Inn is known for one thing Germany style chicken dinners. We ate off the gluten free menu, and enjoyed the broiled chicken. Unfortunately we missed out on the bread and other tasty gluten full dishes we used to have before we were gluten intolerant. Do I recommend it yes. The restaurant Zenders across the street is pretty much... More

We came to the Frankenmuth area for a family wedding and my other main objective was to get some good German food and beer. We found it here! Bottom line up front - anybody who doesn't rate this place 5 stars for the German food (not the chicken dinners) either doesn't know German food or should stick to burgers and... More

We walked around the area and Saw the sign that said 3 levels of dining, small plates, lunches and dinners. We didn't want a lot to eat, so we went in. Very gaudy wall art, old, dated. Since we didn't really see small plates we ordered appetizers. Chicken and fried cheese. When the waitress brought the food out she let... More

My family has been going here for over 50 years and we children still make it number 1 on our list whenever we are in town. The consistency of this place is absolutely amazing, never a bad meal...ever! Love it.

First of all, the building is fabulous with a real working glockenspiel (not sure if that is spelled right) outside that goes off at timed intervals. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and polite. Our service was excellent and food was delivered hot and promptly. I found that the chicken dinner did not live... You can order "family style" or individual meals. Nice service by costumed wait staff. Reasonable prices and good food.

Eleven of us showed up to be seated quickly in one of the beautiful dining rooms. Service was provided quickly by German costumed waitresses. We ordered the family chicken dinner and got that and roast pork loin, schnitzel, sausages and roast beef. We had 4 hungry teenagers with us and they all ate second helpings. There was such an abundance of... More

On paper it's a little pricey at over $20 for a chicken dinner. However, the food and service were excellent. The chicken dinner is a must for every first time visit to Frankenmuth.

It was an experience! Wait staff dressed in costume, over abundance of food, and good atmosphere! It is a must do!
