Went there to celebrate 2 birthdays. Drove about 2 hours to get there. The service we received by our waitress was beyond terrible. We waited 15 minutes to order, 25 minutes before our salads were served and another 30 minutes before our dinner was served. Most of the time our waitress was no where in the room. One of the... My wife and I stopped by for dinner and was very pleased with our entire stay. From the service to the food through dessert, this is a must stop place while visiting Frankenmuth. If you like a Germen feel, you'll definitly find it here as even the waiters were dressed in authentic garb . A+++

A must do for the typical all you can eat family style chicken dinner! Fast service, waaay too much food but a fun choice when in Frankenmuth. Chicken could be moister though. Accordian music and German feel was not present on our visit which was disappointing...just the loud restaurant clamour.

My first visit to Frankenmuth Michigan was as a young man. Many visits followed and many great meals at Zenders and the Bavarian Inn. After several years we decided to visit again and have dinner at the Bavarian Inn. The menu is filled with German dishes and chicken dinners. You can select a group dinner with family style serving that... More

While we did not have an opportunity to take a meal at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant, we did enjoy an adult beverage at the bar. The fellows behind the bar were extremely attentive, informative and fun. What we did enjoy was Fischer Platz which is a seasonal alternative outside. They serve drinks and a very limited menu. It is outdoor... More

I had an opportunity to savor the legendary chicken at Bavarian Inn during my weekend trip to Frankenmuth and was extremely disappointed by the much hyped dish. It was over salted, over fried, over hyped and meatless. Chicken breasts sold at local Meiers store have more meat on them. I have no idea why people rave about that particular dish... More

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you did not enjoy our Family Style Chicken. We do have a special blend of seasonings and unique style of cooking that is been a favorite of many families over the past several decades. The cooking process ensures the chicken is juicy and flavorful. I'm sorry that yours on this day did not... More

The chicken dinner is the house special and very good. The Bavarian Inn has a bit more atmosphere than Zahnders (right across the street). Choose one or the other place to eat. Both sever the exact same thing

We were in town for the weekend and you can't go to Frankenmuth and not eat the chicken dinner! It was not worth it. The waitress was rude (seems to be a trend in town). She was worthless. We asked questions and she was pissed we bothered her. The food was just okay. My husbands chicken was all bone. We... More

I'm sure we would have corrected or addressed the situation immediately, as this type of service is very unusual and we pride ourselves in wonderful hospitality for our guests. I actually felt like I as in Bavaria. The staff are dressed in traditional costumes and the food was excellent. They have family-style dining or traditional dining. This place gets really busy. We were there for a late lunch around 3:00 and it was busy then, but when we left there were lines of people waiting. The prices were very... More

Attended a Matinee Show here recently and the food was bland and service was underwhelming. I understand the problem in feeding and serving a large crowd in a single sitting and feel I allow a lot of latitude in my expectations, that said the Bavarian Inn fell far short in two important areas. First, the food was very bland and... More

Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience with the I Love Lucy matinee shows. I am surprised. We have heard so many great reviews from the show and the dinner. I apologize the food did not meet your expectations. Please next time you visit, be sure to talk with your server so... More
