There are hotdogs and there is the A's hotdogs. I've had em all over the USA from NY to Chi-town. Don't even ask for one in the south. Most were way sub par, a few were "ok" and very few were "good". Nobody has the Koagle/Red sauce combo with split steamed buns and a frosty root-beer that the Flushing A... More

Back in the 60's we cruised but it meant something different. We were looking to race or pick up girls. Now they show off the old cars we used for cruising. It's no longer an A&W franchise but still has all the food offerings and many more. It's a great place for high school kids to work as my kids... More

It was okay. Just a little off the main street place. It used to be an A&W. They have turned it into a cute little restaurant. The hamburgers are good. That is all we tried.

In the 50s, there was no better place to live in the USA than the Flint area. Good paying middle class jobs were abundant. To say the least, things have changed considerably, but the Flushing A is one of the few iconic remnants of old Flint that remains in its near original form, and it is as good as it... More

In my younger days, I went for the .25 coneys. Now I go for the fish and chips...chips cooked crispy. The rootbeer floats are as good as ever.

The restaurant is weather-beaten but don't be fooled... The food was great! If they aren't serving the exact same red sauce that used to be served in Flint when I was a kid well then, their recipe fooled me. It was very, very good. Had the dogs, root beer and onion rings and everything was hot and tasty, except the... More

Great coney's. Great fish. Looks like an old fashioned hang out. The have classic car cruises in the summer. Eat in your car or inside. They still have carhops!!

We've given Flushing A a shot 3 times, tried different things, and each time it was a bummer. After reading all the reviews on here, I figured I'd give it a shot. I even had family that worked there about 30 years ago. I love how it still feels like it came from back in the day, but the food... More

We have attempted to reach out to you to find out what you had to eat and when but have not received a response. Our food is all fresh and used by the freshness dates. The burger meat is fresh, not frozen. The coney and red sauce are made in the restaurant. While the vast majority of customers find the... More
