Walked in the front door only to see a tacky sign stating to walk to the back and wait in line. Get to the back (after walking through a very tiny dining space) to find a long line by the washrooms and a back door. There was no staff managing the line and it was cold in the waiting area.... More

We have been going to the Fly Trap for a few years but mainly for breakfast. Now, they are open for dinner and although it's the same menu all day, we really enjoyed being there in the evening. We sat in the new area by the bar as it is sometimes cold by the front door. It has pretty bare... More

Fly trap... Words cannot describe the quality and explosion of taste buds of their food. Don't be mislead from the street view appearance, the character and quality of the staff and the value of the food makes this place an absolute must. Clean, friendly, and bang for the buck! Highly recommend for any date night or meeting up with friends... More

Had to sit in the freezing cold, with just a flimsy piece of plywood instead of a window. My meal was cold in minutes. Why did they open when the place is still not ready. Not going back.

Whenever we travel we try to check out a 3D's restaurant. So as we entered Michigan we checked out 'flavortown' on the web to find a restaurant. Mapped us to Ferndale. Right on the main drag. Waited about 20 minutes, but hey, we traveled over 5 hours to get here - what is 20 minutes. We sat at the counter.... More

Nearly 400 reviews on Yelp and almost a perfect 5.0? That should tell you something! And yes, it really IS that good. Ah, you say, what makes it any different than other breakfast and lunch places. Ha. I'll tell you why. It's THE FOOD!!! It is spectacular!! Man, such a great menu. I wanted one of everything. Maybe I'll achieve... More

Sorry, but meeting five other folks on a sunday noonish meal and an almost hour wait does not deserve more than 3 stars. And lack of seating resulting in two eating at counter, and two separate tables for other four in group does not make a pleasant eating experience. Add to that, during the wait, there was some restaurant rage when... More

Please visit the Fly Trap and order the Red Flannel Hash, its my favorite breakfast dish on earth! The portion sizes are huge, don't be afraid to share with a friend if you can.

Interesting and enjoyable place. Great, unique food. A very small place, with limited seating, so expect a wait. But the wait is worth it. The green eggs and ham were excellent, as were the homemade hot sauces. Worth a trip if you are in the area.

Fortunately, my daughter and I noticed the large portions so decided to share an order. We had an omelette but not your typical kind of omelette - this was a stuffed omelette so really just a shell of an omelette (vs a way too big 3 egg full blown omelette) over the fillings - it was perfect! Very interesting idea.... More
