Been meaning to go here for years, and did just that today! What a shame it took so long. Past stops were avoided due to the waiting line, now we know why there was always a line. My wife had the "Ensalada De Basura", and what a meal it was! I had the "BLAT+C" omelette, excellent! Make sure to ask... More

Two for breakfast around 10 am on a Friday. Had heard about the place, so we stopped. Small setting and had to wait for about ten minutes for a booth. They have counter seating as well. Eclectic group of people from students to seniors. Some appeared to be regulars. I had the Cowboy Kurtis (steak and eggs, with garlic hash... More

I went to the FT on an early Tuesday afternoon. The Ferndale self parking meters are a little strange but not an issue. We didn't have to wait in line and had a great experience. The facility is quite small and the menu selections are varied. Hard to decide what to choose. The servers were all very sweet and seemed... More

Great food and pretty quick service. If you are not STARVING - Share a meal, the portions are OUT OF CONTROL, unless you are a lumberjack you can share a meal!

WOW. Saw the fly trap on Triple D and knew I would have to make a visit while in Michigan. The diner itself isn't fancy, but has a lot of character. The food is the reason you come and it sure doesn't disappoint. I usually never have a problem deciding what to order from the menu, but the Fly Trap... More

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured the FT and with good reason. The place is unique and the menu is interesting, but the bottom line is that the food is GOOD. Check that, the food is REALLY good. I’m a carnivore, but the salmon burger at the FT is so good that it makes you forget that you are eating fish,... More

The Fly Trap is one of Ferndale's best-kept secrets. Who would guess that on a corner of Woodward just three blocks north of Nine Mile Rd., in a building unpretentious from the outside - except for the whimsical flies - is a reasonable but gourmet-level restaurant. We have found it ideal for lunch and have yet to be disappointed in... More

This place is good, a small diner with average food. I will say their housemade hot sauce is fantastic. The menu is a bit limited in what they offer. They serve great french fries. There are better breakfasts in town.

Another successful dining experience...YAY.....I have always wanted to try this place because according to their website, they make a lot of the items from scratch and to order. WOW....is all I can say. Their breakfasts are stupendous. We got there a little after 9 on a Sunday, and yes, we had to wait, but it was not too long. Service... More

This is a tiny place with excellent food! We went for dinner. We both ordered a cup of Bethal Lentil soup, and both agreed it was the BEST lentil soup we had tasted. Just the right amount of chile - spicy and flavorful. I had the mushroom pasta, and it was amazing. My husband had fried rice - also great.... More
