I have always in the past enjoyed the What Not for an evening out. The place its self is a very nice environment and the service is good most evenings. Weekends they have nice dinner music and later dance music. The food is still ok, but was better in the past. It seems as though they have switched to food... More

We only had 45 minutes to get lunch and it was no problem. The spinach salad I had was delicious. The building is quite dark inside but the service was friendly and fast.

This local eatery is just the place for a great lunch or dinner. The service was superb and the food delicious! Just call ahead for any events / specials. Monday night at 6pm a local jazz band comes in and the place fills to the brim - and loud enough that you can't talk to the people at your own... More

Stopped in cuz the lot was full and we wanted a spur of the moment dinner. Had never been there before. An old fashioned bar/restaurant and all of the staff were working hard. Our server, Will, was going nonstop the whole time we were there. It was really quite busy at night, so the delivery of the meal was a... More

Usually stop here when riding motorcycles from Saugatuck heading back east. Easy to find right on corner of Bluestar Hwy and M 89. I got the shrimp basket, comes with 8 deep fried butterfly shrimp, french fries and coleslaw. Husband got the crispy chicken warp, wheat warp with crispy chicken, romaine lettuce, tomatoes and a honey mustard sauce also comes... More

We have eaten at least once at the What Not every summer for too many years to count. The menu is basic but reliable - fresh salads, tasty burgers, and as others have said, the perch is always great. I had to smile when I saw Will mentioned in several reviews - we have had him so many times that... More

Look all over the USA and you will have a very hard time finding a music spot like the What Not. Monday nights are fabulous. The What Not Trio is led by Wally Michaels on the piano and they are excellent. Very talented singers and musicians have made the What Not their hangout on Mondays. Get there early or you... More

We were visiting from California, and found this place in a local tourist brochure. Loved it! We went back a second time. Our server, Will, was amazing. Very caring and personable. Our first visit was early, and the place was almost empty. The second time, we went later, and couldn't believe how crowded it was. People were parking on the... More

Came with family from out of town to have breakfast...we most likely won't be back. The sausages were way under cooked and we had to ask to send them back. The scrambled eggs I ordered were a little cold, the coffee was bitter and the water had a weird taste to it. Overall nothing was very tasty, and my family... More

We go here when in the Douglas-Saugatuck area for the music and food. The quality of music on a Saturday night is amazing. This is a friendly place and you feel at home here. Good perch and really good deserts.
