good food with local flavor

We enjoyed a home-style dinner while on an extended road trip. Food was good, especially the fall-off-the-bone ribs. However, the canned/frozen veggies and the turkey gravy that was yellow left a bit to be desired. Service was great...and waitress was happy to chat with us. We would definitely... read more

Plus we loved seeing all the Andy Griffith show memorabilia.

We ate here on our overnight in this area because of the reviews it received on Trip Advisor. It was a little out of our way (10 miles from our hotel) but was well worth it. This appears to be a little mom and pop diner operation. The atmosphere has memoribillia from the Andy Griffith Show. Even though it was... More

Was in the mood for a Hot Roast beef sandwich so I called around the area. Nobody really had one except Mayberry's. Was astounded by how good it was. Can't wait to try other things on the menu.

Whenever in the greater Detroit area, Mayberry's is a must stop for the family. Reasonable prices and home cooked tasting food make dining a pleasure. Two "gotta have 'ems" on the menu are the onion rings and the dumpling soup (when available) with the dumpling soup alone being enough reason to travel from Lansing. I strongly suggest a pint of...
