Did not live up to the hype

What I don't get is this place has potential. I want to like this place. The menu has a LOT of neat choices. I've been here twice and tried several menu items between my wife and I. Keep in mind nothing was bad, but the taste was very bland. I've had to add a condiment, sauce or salt to find... read more

Service seemed good. The menu coverage seemed good for b'fast /lunch only place. I'd try them again if I was in the area. I had the smoked Salman wrap. Out of character for me but was ok. I think I'd like to try the eggs Benedict next time. They had several variations n the menu as well as eggs florentine,... More

We had a late breakfast at the Farmington Hills site on a Sunday. Even though we were told it would be a 25 minute wait, we decided to stay. There is a long bench for people waiting and some card table chairs across from the bench, but the best thing is that you don't get blasted by the cold air... More

My husband and I eat here frequently. The breakfast dishes are very, very good and I feel like I am at a very expensive restaurant. I love the fresh Roses on each table and the coffee is the best around. We eat here for Breakfast and lunch when we can. My son also said he had the best club sandwich... More

I have 2 favorites at this restaurant, but all the food is amazing. Their breakfast specialties are terrific...I have the Garden Benedict (think that is the name) with Hollandaise Sauce. It comes with breakfast potatoes (small, cubed potatoes, perfectly spiced) and a side of applesauce (like a dessert! We always come home stuffed. We have also tried it for dinner... More

A true gourmet breakfast experience. We had a scrumptious breakfast and are only sorry that we only discovered this gem of a breakfast place so recently, even though it's only a stone's throw away from us! Food is fresh, plating is original and service is excellent - a family feel about the place. Don't miss their blackberry biscuits, if you... More

My wife and I and much of our family really enjoys Recipes. It's arguably the best restaurant for breakfast in the Detroit area. Their skillets are outstanding and certainly favorites. Their vegetables, cheeses, eggs, and home fried potatoes are amazing and melt in your mouth. But most of their breakfasts are great. And the setting and comfort of the restaurant... More

First visit here and we'll definitely be back soon! We started with the spring rolls, which were meticulously prepared and tasty. I enjoyed the Bandito Skillet, which was prepared skillfully with fresh ingredients and really hit the spot. Truly delicious! My date ordered the Pad Thai. The bell peppers in the Pad Thai was new to me, but he enjoyed... More

Food is amazing here and if you have the pleasure to visit please request Amber, she was awesome. We had the Roadster (Bacon, veggies, eggs and home fries) and Chuck Wagon (NY Strip Steak, veggies, eggs and home fries) Skillets and both was awesome and very filling. Service was quick and Amber always had a smile and we never needed... More

This place is a hidden gem. The food is delish and at decent prices! Especially, the hot chocolate, which is so yummy in a huge latte cup with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle done right. There are so many choices on the menu, from a unique take on the omelet, to a create your own, and tons of sides to... More
