Not even close to the original

If you been to the original lelli's you would remember the extreme attention paid to detail in the meal and "service" where Mr. Lelli (the father) made sure his staff were on point 24/7. Unfortunately, the amazing zip sauce and shrimp cocktail they serve do not make up for the horrible service and... read more

Interior of the restaurant is dimly lit and the tables are set beautifully. I saw that people can keep their wines there with a special cubby with their name on it. I would recommend this to any special occasion, banquet, wedding reception on their veranda. That's where our group was. It was after a funeral and there were probably 80... More

Awful experience. We spent over 200.00 for 4 people to celebrate a bachelor party. Two people in the party had steaks that were not cooked properly, as ordered. One steak had to actually be sent back THREE TIMES. The food took forever and got nothing but excuses. The owner came over and was very cocky and arrogant. Though we were... More

the food never disappoints. service is awesome. unhurried elegant atmosphere. it was too cool to dine on the patio, but, the experience was still great. Had the eggplant parm which was sooo good. hubby had the sirloin that looked fabulous. We were so stuffed when we left. I love this place - its 5 star in every category! We'll be... More

We have eaten at Lelli's restaurants for over 45 years. First in Detroit, then Rochester Hills and now in Farmington Hills

We have dined here probably 20 times in the past, but the age of the place is starting to really show. My chair lost its support and the carpet is looking shabby. The servers need new and fresh tuxedos too. The menu is looking very tired. The food is good, not great but good. Somehow we were charged $115.00 for... More

I've tried this restaurant four times in the past year. It has so much potential. Classic, old style Italian steakhouse atmosphere. The most unique and best tasting Minestrone soup you'll every experience. Both a light or a six course option for any of the entrees you order. Food quality and portions good. Where this place absolutely falls down is service.... More

We dined here last night for my mother-in-law's 97th birthday. Lelli's is her favorite restaurant-I think because she remembers the original one in Detroit. We've eaten at the Auburn Hills one many times-I am not particularly fond of it, but we decided to try this Lelli's. Their minestrone soup is OUTSTANDING, but the rest of the food lacks in any... First, the food is excellent!! Now the bad part. The waiter was terrible. I ordered a bottle of wine. He brings out a different bottle of wine, saying they were out of the wine I ordered. I guess he assumed I would just take it. I asked for the wine list, that took 10 min, ordered different wine. After 20... More

I made reservations for Christmas Eve at 7pm about 6 weeks before. When we arrived, we were seated in the sports bar area, looking at a big screen tv and rows of booze bottles with flashing lights going up and down the shelf. Not what we wanted for Christmas Eve ambiance. Finally we were seated in the dining room, directly... More
