My wife and I stopped here for an early dinner while we were in the area. There was only one other table filled when we arrived and only one other person walked in for a cup of coffee before we left. Not exactly a hooping place on an early Saturday night. Interior certainly could use some updating. Food was bland.... More

We stopped by the Elk Harbor Restaurant on a Subday morning for breakfast. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. My husband ordered the typical breakfast of eggs, bacon, etc but I opted for the corned beef hash special with 2 eggs (scrambled) and whole wheat toast. Eggs were ok but the hash was inedible. It was burned and included lots... More

We were passing thru the area and waited to get out of Traverse City to stop and eat. The traffic in TC was ridiculous. Lunch was OK, and the waitress was worn from a double shift but still very pleasant. But the home-made cherry pie was worth all of that.

I have eaten at the modest Elk Harbor Restaurant many times and they have very good comfort food at a reasonable price. Now that smoking has been banned, I like the 1st dining room to the right (facing US 31 N) due to the unique wood walls & ceiling. Try the best Eggs Benedict special served with hollandaise sauce, offered... More

The dining area was very clean, unlike some previous reviews have noted. Serving portions were excellent. Nice place to eat for a home cooked meal. No complaints.

Went out to the Elk Harbor with my family. Six of us total. I ordered a chicken tender basket while everyone else had the cod dinner special. Everyone agreed that the food was good and our server was doing a good job considering she was the only server working that night. Overall a very good experience at the Elk Harbor... More

Had breakfast here. Decent serving size, but cheap ingredients. Ham slice was thin and somewhat tough. Sausage links were taken out of a box from the freezer and nuked. Had the texture of a kitchen sponge, and the same flavor. Overall take on the place is that whoever runs it is indifferent about running a restaurant .

Stopped here for breakfast. Waitress was nice but it took 40 minutes for scrambled eggs and toast. When we asked the owner about the status of our food she copped a bad attitude. Sorry for expecting breakfast within a reasonable time.....After eating, she brought our bill and slapped it down on the table. One the way out she would even... More
