Elegant dinner

My husband and I brought my parents here for Mother's Day dinner. We all enjoyed ourselves and the food. The only detractor was that the dining room was too warm and we were all a bit uncomfortable. This used to be a fantastic romantic destination in little ol Eaton Rapids. It has declined in food quality and service over the past couple of years, unfortunately, but it is still a good place to go on a date night or hang out with friends in the pub. The food is still good, but not stellar, and the service... More

This is a very nice place to dine and to see some of the beauty in Mid Michigan. The Inn sits on the banks of the Grand River. Beautiful, secluded. Yet, not far from Lansing.

We were disappointed with the latest dinner experience. The prime rib wasn't prepared well and felt almost leathery. Feel like the quality of the Inn has gone down considerably since the last time we were there.

Every meal I have eaten here has been fantastic. The English Inn never disappoints. Whether for a casual meal in the pub, dinner in the dining room, or an event or wedding, I have always been impressed with the setting, the food, and the service. A true gem!

Such a charming spot and the food is really good. Try the prime rib, always a winner! A little pricey, but a nice special evening place. In the summer you can walk out in the gardens and the banquet hall is nice for special events. A wonderful asset this far out in the country!

We love coming here. It's beautiful inside and out. It's the former estate of an auto motel and brings you back to a more gracious, opulent time...In the summer we like to walk the grounds before being seated, in winter, visit the interior. The staff is always warm and welcoming. We were here recently for dinner to celebrate a special... More

So proud we can offer visitors such a great experience in our small town. Always a treat. Lunch is quite reasonable and the Sunday evening suppers are great values. Also offers overnight accommodations in lovely rooms.

We have eaten at the English Inn many times , and I have never been anything but absolutely delighted by the experience. The Dining rooms are stately, the menu always has you pondering over many choices, and the service is top notch. Although some may find it pricey...it Is in fact a terrific value for what you receive. As others... More
