Here for orientation at MSU & grabbed a quick breakfast at Tony's. Small town style café with great breakfast & friendly service. Food was good, service was fast, coffee was good and plentiful, we would go again without a doubt. Our hotel was right across the street.

We were one of two tables with patrons on a weekday morning. It appeared there was one server, and she seemed busy doing everything but coming back to check on us. She brought coffee refills one time during our entire visit and the cups were tiny. When she did come to our table, we felt like we were bothering her... More

All those that have been there know that my title is correct. Show up on Sunday morning and look at all the bloodshot eyes and green faces. Good food overall. Can't mess up bacon and eggs. Good portions and reasonable prices.

I would avoid this place like the plague. Breakfast service was so slow it was nearly lunchtime when we ate. We had to chase the clearer around to get him to come clear out table and then had to ask him again to wipe it down - very poor service. I asked for cream in my coffee and ended up... More

We headed to Tony's with a little trepidation based on previous reviews, but we wanted a "traditional" eggs and meat breakfast realtively closely to where we were at. I have to say, we're glad we stopped at Tony's! Located adjacent to the Charles Street parking deck, Tony's seemed a little "suspect" when we walked in. A previous review said the... More

Despite the construction on Albert St, I wanted to use a groupon I had procured, so I parked in the public lot beneath the hotel opposite Tony's and persevered. So glad I did! I ordered a steak (cooking perfectly medium), hash browns and fresh steamed veggies. Everything was great (I love crispy hash browns). Then, the owner asked if I... More

Based on previous reviews we didn't expect much. However on New Year's Eve when many places we're closed we took a chance. Tony's was busy, the service was prompt, the omelets better than average except for the canned mushrooms. The coffee was hot and plentiful.

Walked into an empty restaurant with all the tables unbused. Ordered coffee, never received it. Ordered oatmeal, it was served with soured milk. My drinking glass of water was dirty. The floors were dirty. The bill was not compensated for soured milk. Left wondering if the health department has ever been here.

Sat down at a half-full Tony's on a Sunday morning. Two waitresses worked the room, which has maybe 60 seats. We didn't get acknowledged. Both waitresses assiduously avoided eye contact. After about 10 minutes we got water, coffee and menus. About that time, a table of young college boys came in and sat next to us, and the two waitresses... More
