Pride of the East Side

If you're looking for a beer, there is no better place and no better selection than the Tap Room. It's the place I take out-of-town guests who come to visit.

Great selection of beer! I enjoy eating the peanuts and throwing the shells on the floor! Local, loyal crowd... nice place to throw back a couple cold ones with friends!

Great atmosphere, great beer selection, good snacks, all in a grotto at the edge of Detroit and Grosse Pointe Park. An East Side institution!

I heard that Michigan has the 10th biggest beer economy in America. The Tap Room is one part of that. We have enjoyed seeing musicians here, like the cozy, dive-y atmosphere and selection of beers.

Just what you expect from a local beer place... and more. Regulars at the bar, a list of 300+ beers to choose from (including a nice selection of Michigan beers), peanut shells on the floor, great staff that makes you feel like you're hanging out at a friend's house.

If you like beer and have never been here, shame on you. It's a corner hole in the wall, with a great beer selection, good bartenders, good bar stool company and live music in the evenings. Really - we are a very friendly side of town - eat at the Cadieux Cafe first and finish you night off here.

Tap Room is located on the Grosse Point / Detroit boarder and is one of several local hangouts for Grosse Pointe 20/30-somethings. They have a fantastic beer selection, and it's well worth stopping in of you're in the area and looking to grab a beer. It's mostly quite during the day but gets pretty loud and busy at night and... Tap Room is a genuine, hole-in-the-wall, unpretentious watering hole which lies right across the Grosse Pointe border in Detroit. Specializes almost exclusively in beer-no food, no mixed drinks. If it is brewed, you can probably find it at the tap room. Friendly staff and free shelled peanuts you can throw on the floor. Prices reasonable. Tap room is patronized largely... More
