I'm not huge fan of BBQ but my husband is so I am constantly dragged to places with him. I usually end of getting a burger and that was what I ended up getting here and it was delicious!!! They had different sauces on the table to try and I loved the apple one so much that I ended up... More

Other reviewers will tell you how hard it is to find and how shabby the neighborhood is, which I agree with, but it's worth the effort to eat there. I'm from Texas and they had the most moist and tender brisket that I've had in years. Then, their gumbo sent me through the roof. Wow - I want to go... More

I had heard great things about their food and was eager to give it a try. So it was a bit disappointing having trouble finding the front door. Even more disappointing to hear the staff brag about how common of an occurrence that is. Hence, we started off our dining experience slightly frustrated and embarrassed. Not a great start when... I would gladly take a break from salads and international cuisine for a giant plateful of Slows with a mug of whatever they have on draft (of which there are over fifty to choose from, I believe...) Whenever I come home, this is among the first places I try to hit up. When friends visit from overseas, this is where... More

Succulent pulled pork. Deliciously smoked ham. Applewood Bacon. All together on one sandwich. Gotta love it! Decor is fun. There's usually a wait, but my son and I found two seats at the bar for a quick bite before a theater performance. I originally ordered the BBQ enchilada appetizer, but was extremely disappointed in the size and taste. Our bartender... More

I'm a big fan of BBQ and I was eager to try Slow's when I was in Detroit having heard from friends how good it was. I was not disappointed. I had a rack of St. Louis style ribs and they were tender, meaty and flavor-filled before I added the sauce. I opted for the sweet sauce and was pleased... More

Extremely busy on game days. The only thing worse than the food, the Managers attitude when we complained. Must have figured out ot town Tigers fan, don't really care if they come back. Thanks Chris for the bad experience.

My sister and I strolled in for a quick lunch rather late on a weekday (~2pm). The place was still packed but we found space at the bar next to a few seedy-looking characters. Despite our stress finding: restaurant, parking, front door, seats, menu, bartender, we had a phenomenal meal portion of the lunch experience. Handmade sauces, savory cuts, choice... More

Safe parking is available right across the street from this restaurant . At12:30 (noon) the place was packed , person to person so we reserved a table and went next door for coffee. Upon our return we were immediately seated, although the crowd remained. Four of us decided to share and we were thrilled with the tastes and variety. We... More
