I got the ribs, mac n' cheese and corn bread (all entrees come with two sides) and I would do it again today for lunch if I could. It was a great stop after my flight before driving north. The neighborhood it's in has a few other cool bars, so you can definitely make a night or an afternoon of... More

Doesn't get much better than this in Detroit. The food is second to none, great drink selection and the patio is the perfect place to kick back and visit with friends. It is always busy so expect to wait but it's worth the wait

Amazing meal ! Had dinner there Sunday night. It's easily one of the very best bbq places i've been too. I had the brisket plate and my wife and son had the rack of ribs and the pulled pork plate. All were outstanding quality and flavor. Excellent sides, waffle fries, baked beans, cole slaw, spicy black beans were just ok.... More

If you are in Detroit you have to check this spot out. They know barbecue. My only regret was that I was there for lunch and had to get back to work on the road. I had the sleeper sandwich. That was one of the best sandwiches I ever ate. I was talked into trying the mac and cheese. I... More

First time to Detroit. First time to Slow's BBQ. Being from the Memphis area, I am a bit critical of all BBQ. I like my BBQ a certain way. Oh My! I absolutely loved this BBQ. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich aptly named " The Reason". This sandwich is 'The Reason' I love this place. The bun (from famous... More

First off, when you get here, you may be afraid to get out of the car. JUST DO IT! We have been here twice for lunch, on a weekday and weekend, and have not had a problem. When you walk in, it's a whole different world. There's hard wood everywhere, a huge bar, and the smell will make you forget... More

As you might expect for such a popular place, there is a long wait if you want to eat some of the amazing food. Unfortunately there isn't really a very big spot to wait - you feel like you are leaning over those who are eating, or get in the way of those that are serving. Its not pretentious at... More

Slow's BBQ is terrific. My BBQ "beef" is that the side dishes are sometimes an afterthought. Not at Slow's: interesting mac and cheese, delicious sweet potato mash, fresh cole slaw, and moist corn bread added to some excellent pulled pork. Interesting beer selection, great atmosphere, and BBQ. What more do you need?

Took the family here after seeing on a food show. We all enjoyed our food. The place was a bit smaller than we expected but it was nice. Had the yardbird it was great! Went during the middle of the week in the daytime, wasn't too busy and we only waited a couple of minutes. The worst part was just... More

I travel to Detroit on business about every 6 weeks. They all know when I'm planning to visit, it means a trip to Slow's BBQ. We try to arrive around 11:30 am because if you're much later you're waiting for a table. It was a little breezy on Wednesday but the outdoor patio was sunny for the four of us.... More
