Good BBQ

Went on a Saturday so a really busy time, crowded and barely had room to stand; was told the wait was an hour plus but got seated in about 25 minutes so off to a really good start. BBQ chicken and ribs were good and did like the different kinds of BBQ sauces available.. fun to try them all.

Literally the best BBQ I have had. The meat was perfect, great sauces. The cornbread and mac and cheese were without a doubt the best! The area was sketchy but fine. The place was VERY busy but we sat at the bar and had good service. Pretty good drink selection.

We came here on a recommendation from a friend. The area of town was a bit sketchy, but the inside atmosphere was hip and cool! The portions were large and everything we got was super yummy! The Mac and cheese was AMAZING!!! So glad we decided to try it out and will surely be back!

We arrived at Slows on a Sunday evening about 6:30 pm and were told the wait was 20-30 minutes. We decided to wait at the bar and went over there to order a beer. After finally catching the eye of one of the bartenders we were able to order a beer. He wanted us to pay the tab there rather... More

You cannot go wrong with the place that restarted Corktowns restaurant scene. I have always had great food and a fun time here with both friends and family, sometimes even with new friends made at the bar. If you like BBQ and you like things a little spicy...this is where you should be.

Went in for Carolina plate but got talked into trying the yardbird and it was great too. The food and quality remains the same "great ".

I've been to Slows twice. Each time there was a wait and I was seated at a table so close to others that there were lots of excuse me exchanged with hips and elbows bumping. The bartender was great and made a whiskey, lemonade, maple syrup drink that rocked. The food was very good. The extra $5.00 for added meat... More

This place was recommended by a friend so our out of town crew struck out for our adventure not sure what to expect. It was awesome. Parking was a challenge, and I ended up getting a $45 ticket for parking against a fence with a bunch of other cars, but the food made up for it! We have the brisket,... More

If your looking for smoked flavor BBQ, this is the place for you. There are many choices of sauces to choose from. The sides are in abundance. It will be hard to choose from the menu. Bring your appetite. If there are pro games going on... get there early. This place is located west of the ol "Tiger Stadium" site.... More

It's a nice restaurant 5-10 minutes walking distance from downtown. By the name... their specialty is bbq, but they have the BEST mac and cheese i have ever tried (& i generally don't like mac & cheese!) . Your choices are pretty limited to sandwhiches, salads, and ribs. Fair prices, range from $10-$30
