A little hip, interesting location, great food, beverages and service. I have been to Detroit twice and it is one of my favorite cities (call me crazy) and this is one of my favorites. They have super cool souvenirs, too.

This great little place, sits on the Michigan Ave. next to I-75 , and only blocks from downtown Detroit. I know what your thinking, yes it's a safe neighborhood and you can park your car right outside the pace on most weeknights. A co-worker and I hit this places late on a Tuesday night after flying into town. The name... More

Six of us were seated immediately at 4:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. Taste and scent rules at Slow's but all of us agreed that our dishes: ribs, brisket and chicken could have been more moist. Had I studied the reviews, I might have opted for greater moisture elsewhere. That would have been too bad, because I would have lost out... More

I got the ribs, mac n' cheese and corn bread (all entrees come with two sides) and I would do it again today for lunch if I could. It was a great stop after my flight before driving north. The neighborhood it's in has a few other cool bars, so you can definitely make a night or an afternoon of... More

Doesn't get much better than this in Detroit. The food is second to none, great drink selection and the patio is the perfect place to kick back and visit with friends. It is always busy so expect to wait but it's worth the wait

Amazing meal ! Had dinner there Sunday night. It's easily one of the very best bbq places i've been too. I had the brisket plate and my wife and son had the rack of ribs and the pulled pork plate. All were outstanding quality and flavor. Excellent sides, waffle fries, baked beans, cole slaw, spicy black beans were just ok.... More

If you are in Detroit you have to check this spot out. They know barbecue. My only regret was that I was there for lunch and had to get back to work on the road. I had the sleeper sandwich. That was one of the best sandwiches I ever ate. I was talked into trying the mac and cheese. I... More

First time to Detroit. First time to Slow's BBQ. Being from the Memphis area, I am a bit critical of all BBQ. I like my BBQ a certain way. Oh My! I absolutely loved this BBQ. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich aptly named " The Reason". This sandwich is 'The Reason' I love this place. The bun (from famous... More

First off, when you get here, you may be afraid to get out of the car. JUST DO IT! We have been here twice for lunch, on a weekday and weekend, and have not had a problem. When you walk in, it's a whole different world. There's hard wood everywhere, a huge bar, and the smell will make you forget... More

As you might expect for such a popular place, there is a long wait if you want to eat some of the amazing food. Unfortunately there isn't really a very big spot to wait - you feel like you are leaning over those who are eating, or get in the way of those that are serving. Its not pretentious at... More
