Great service, great food. There is also a take-out location "Slows To-Go," but their selection is more limited. Don't miss!

The pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken and ribs are good here. I would recommend ordering different entree's and sharing. The mac & cheese is very good. Do not go on a day there is an event, such as a baseball game, unless you go after the game starts, on Sundays after church, holidays or during the dinner hour. You will have... More

There is just nothing else like it in Michigan that we have ever found. Every single thing on their menu is mouth watering. We have been to a couple of BBQ restaurants in the South that might compare to this place, but it would be a tight competition. The pulled pork is unreal. Mac and cheese is loved by all.... More

If you ask just about anyone where to eat in Detroit, they will point you to Slows. For good reason - the food is wonderful! Parking can be a bit tricky and at peak times there is likely going to be a wait (they don't take reservations in our experience), but the food is plentiful and well worth it! Everyone... More

The mac and cheese is excellent. Enjoyed the cornbread as well. The apple bbq sauce was very tasty. The "hot" sauce needs some work. Menu is short and simple. If you are looking for some good bbq stop in here.

I was in Detroit for business and decided to give Slows a try based on the TripAdvisor ranking (and the fact that I love barbecue). I will admit that parking was a challenge, and it took a minute to figure out how to get in the restaurant; but once inside, it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant was crowded, but... More

Three co-workers and I had lunch on a recent Friday--after 1:00 p.m. No wait and service was good, although leisurely. I had the Yardbird (chicken in a mustard sauce) on bread, and the mac and cheese, which were both very good. It was plenty of food for lunch and then dinner (even with skipping the bread). The flavors of the... More

We've been trying to get down to Slows for a while but always heard how long the wait is to get in. We sent on a Wednesday and we had no wait at all! They food was good and the service was fabulous!!

Food is very good. Location lacks convenient parking. Most times the place is too busy to get in. Only been 2x in the few years it's been open due to the aforesaid parking and wait "problems". If you can determine the "slow" time @ Slow's you should go as the food is worth it.
