Great food but needs some overall improvements

Dinner was a 9/10 however at 8pm on a Saturday night they were already out of one of the tapas we tried to order and an entree, which was disappointing. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria and they add cinnamon to it, which I was not a fan of. Wish the waiter would have mentioned this since it's out... read more

Met a friend here the other night for dinner, and it was delicious. We got drinks and the paella, and it was so good. It just felt a bit over priced. I wish they had a happy hour or something, so I could afford to go back! Oh well! It's a treat, and a very good one at that!!

I came for dinner on a Monday night & was seated immediately (Tigers were out of town). My drink was promptly served along w/ some bread. I ordered a cup of Lobster Bisque, which was served quickly as well. It came warm topped w/ fresh sliced chives, & only had a little bit of lobster meat in it. It was... More

Repeatedly back to this property - their food is out of this world. Their cubano made me feel like I was back in Little Havana!!

Went for dinner today and had a vague feeling that something has changed. The place did not look as vibrant or upscale as before, it looks tired. Food: They were out of several things, no carne empanizada (breaded steak) and no roast pork which is their signature dish. Ordered other items and as soon as they cleared the table they... More

Close to the people mover and downtown hotels this appears to be a popular choice. The food is good, prices reasonable, and they offer a delicious sangria in either red or white. The empanadas were ok, the grilled salmon and Ceasar salad, delicious. Service was good. There are Cuban dishes as well as more standard American fare on the menu.

We chose to eat at Vicente's before going to the Rolling Stones concert at Comerica Park. I'm really glad that we made a reservation because the place was packed and the line was out the door. The owner - at least that's what I assume - sat us herself. We were right next to the live band, and she said... More

Enjoyed our first Cuban meal in honour of Obama's decision to open up of the country to Americans. Most of the crowd were all pushing to eat before the Rolling Stones concert at the nearby Comerica Park. Presumably this happens regularly due to the frequency of concerts, ball games, plays, symphony and opera performances at the nearby theatres and stadiums.... More

Vicente's was a great restaurant for dinner on my final night in Detroit. The place is located right in the heart of downtown Detroit - an area which has really come a long way with its revitalization. The restaurant is a stone's throw away from the Cadillac Center People Mover station - which is very convenient. The atmosphere at Vicente's... More

Years ago, I had eaten at Vicente's and during a business trip I mentioned to a co-worker if it was still open. She exclaimed yes and can we go for lunch and I said "sure !". Well needless to say I'm hooked on the joint as I went two nights in a row. I could have gone somewhere else, but... More
