We made reservations for Vincente's and knew we wanted one of their 4 Paella dishes since we had it in the past. However, we had a concert to go to afterwards and saw from the online menu that we need to allow 45 minutes for them to prepare Paella. So we called ahead of time and they took our order... More

I attended a 4-day conference in Detroit. It has become a custom of mine to search for a Cuban restaurant in the cities I travel. Being Cuban--that comes pretty natural to me. I found Vicente's Cuban Cuisine--the only one in Detroit. I took a chance and invited 10 fellow conference attendees to accompany me to dinner and try Cuban food.... More

My wife and I joined two other couples for a wine tasting event at Vicente's last week. The outdoor patio was reserved for the event. The weather cooperated with mild temperatures for the evening. We were served a variety of Spanish wines to accompany the variety of foods served, including Paella, Roast Duck, Lamb and Beef. The other guests provided... More

We came here for dinner with the intentions of just having Tapas. We ended up with 4 items a glass of wine and 2 glasses of Sangria. The bill was steep - but we expected it. Drinks were $8. The best thing we had was the white Sangria. I had the goat cheese on tomatoes based on the reviews here,... More

I see that the reviews are all over the place for Vicente's, from one star to my five star. I can just tell you about the experience that Barbara & I had last week while in town for two Tiger games (both victories, thank you). We were warmly greeted promptly at the door & seated immediately near the dance floor.... More

I haven't been to Vicente's for some awhile; I have been spoiled by the attentiveness of the staff and management in the early days, which continued for years after the opening of this ex-pat Cuban restaurant. The place was phenomenal, and my visits were regular During my most recent visit, I was disappointed by the tardiness of the waitstaff, the... More

Had dinner after Tigers game and I thought we were going for a Cuban sandwich and walked out $100 later for two after about $30 worth of food. $4.00 for a 2 oz. Cuban coffee. It was a joke! I would not recommend this restaurant since for the money you can do a lot better downtown.

I have eaten here twice, and both times have been quite impressed at the taste of the food, quality of the presentation, and the general good vibe of the restaurant. The servers seem eager to help you and the management seems genuinely appreciative of the business. Easy to get to on the Detroit People Mover (its less than a block... More

This is a regular stop for my friend and I. I've yet to have anything here that wasn't delicious. I definitely favor the Ropa Vieja, it is amazing. One thing I always get when I'm there no matter what is sangria, it's really good, and also pretty strong! They also usually have salsa dancing Friday & Saturday nights starting around... More

Went to Vincente's on the recommendation of a friend. We were seated in the bar very quickly. There was water brought to our table without a word said to us, followed by a basket of bread - again without as much as a hello. Twenty minutes passed before someone came to inform us that our server was missing, they had... More
