No wait, open late, great simple food. Much cheaper than the place across the street and without the wait.

This is my 2nd visit to Golden Fleece. I've gotten the Gyro Platter both times! The quality of meat is much better than I've ever had elsewhere. The building is old and has tons of character. Pull yourself away from the slot machines for a second, walk across the street, and get yourself a gyro platter.. you deserve it!

I wish I did not have to write this review, but our experience was utterly disappointing. We gave a try to "Golden Fleece" over better looking places around precisely because it looks like a casual gyro/souvlaki joint - exactly the kind where in Greece, for example, you go for some seriously delicious food on the go. We even appreciated the... More

I went to the Golden Fleece last Saturday. This was my second time...............first time was about 10 years ago. I found the service each time to be slow. The food,,,,,each time.....was luke warm at best and was not very good. I asked for a salad instead of fries or rice and I was charged an extra $4.50. The bus boy... More

It isn't fancy. It's kind of dirty. There's not a lot of room. If you can look past this, it is really a gem. The gyros are out of this world delicious. The staff are great. Good comes out super quick and it is in greektown.

Yes dumpy.... Yes frumpy.. But it's about the food... Trust me on this, the best gyro you'll ever eat...every element thought out... Strong onions on down.... One other items can be hit or miss though .

gyros to go...just about every time I'm in the area...I'll order a gyros and watch the cook cut the lamb / beef mixture right off the rotisserie

I enjoyed a first rate lunch with a friend - excellent food, lovely waitress, terrific atmosphere. Recommended.

Yes they set our cheese ablaze with vodka and it was the best $6.50 I spent in Detroit. My husband thought the lamb was delicious though I did not care for it. They were out of all the local beer and you couldn't read the wine menu. I would try the rice next time instead of fries.

Authentic greek food. It is a cramped little restaurant in Greektown. It is a good place to go for a quick bite such as a couple of gyros. They seat you quickly and the food is quickly brought out. You can even order the flaming cheese if you like! Opa!
