A Great Way to Enjoy Your Friends & Family

Went here with our two boys (10 and 12) and grandfather - all had a great time. First, the feather bowling - no, we did not have a clue, but it was easy to learn and easy for everyone to participate. There is a sign that says "no bowlers under 12" but no one said anything to our 10 year... read more

As Belgian, visiting Detroit for a gathering with distant relatives, a stop at Cadieux café is almost an obligation. What a nice experience. This café is so Belgian, you rarely find one of these in Belgium any more. A nice collection of Belgian beers, plenty of pictures about Belgium, live music and even the possibility to practice featherbowling.

So, the food here is ok (I don't eat mussels, which is the primary food selection). The hot wings were pretty good, and the roast beef dip was tasty. But, you don't go there for the food, you go there to bowl. I did not know what the bowling was. My brother's 40th was happening and we reserved both lanes... More

I had heard so much about this place and I was very disappointed in the food. Now mind you, I don't eat fish, and they are noted for their mussels. I had the cheese sandwich and the bread was dry and too thick. My companion had the chicken sandwich and he said it was dry. Another couple had fish and... More

Better call before you go for all-you-can-eat mussels on Mondays. We went and were told they had a new supplier and couldn't get enough for all-you-can-eat. Broth is watery and not very garlicky with no aromatics for flavor. Bread for dipping is basic white bread, not toasted and warm like it really should be. Salad is basic... Over priced and... More

Been once before years ago...went back yesterday and and had full dinners. All I can say is "try the mussels"!! Amazing!! Many flavor combinations but all were delicious. Our table had 4 different kinds and everyone loved their choice. To top off your night, you must try the feather bowling. You need reservations pretty far in advance; weekend nights full... More

I first visited the Cadieux Cafe in 1978 when I was 18 years old. What an awesome neighborhood bar in Detroit it was, although my friends and I were certainly the misfits in the largely over 65 crowd at the time! We've been back many times over the years, most recently on February 8, 2015. Nothing - and I mean... More

There aren't many places in North America in which to find Belgian cuisine. The Cadieux Cafe is one of the few. It's also a celebration of Belgian culture, Flemish and Walloon. The walls are decked with flags and crests, homages to bicycle racing, archery, and Belgian-American pride. Order the mussels. You can't go wrong. The portions are generous. Stuff yourself... More

The Belgium beer was good but over priced 8.75$ per bottle ! Muscles were a "Joke " tiny things things almost 1/2 of them flipped out of their shell & into the drink, very disappointing for nearly 20$. Only thing that was good was the service and the Pom frites ( frys) Will never return again. ! ! ! Seen... More

What's not to like about the home base of East Side Elvis? Great beer, good food, and feather bowling. You won't find a more unique joint for hundreds of miles in any direction. And they often have live music!
