Great eclectic place for lunch

The menu is off-beat and interesting. Gourmet sandwiches, soups with homemade breads, local brews in an interesting building. The service was excellent and the waiter was very knowledgeable and had no trouble making good recommendations. Visit the bakery for some take home giant cookies and... read more

We were in Detroit for a concert and wanted to check out a DDD spot. This place was really neat. Tons of antiques to look at on the walls and ceilings . We were surprised at how big it was not at all what we expected when we pulled up. 3 of us got the brioche French toast and one... More

Dined here for lunch. Staff was very personable, our waiter was friendly and professional. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and loved the cozy quaint building located on the Wayne State Campus in Downtown Detroit.

I recently saw this place featured on Triple D with Guy Fieri and after going here, I was not impressed. First off, the hostess and staff that are supposed to seat you are horrible. Every time I've walked in, I'm looking around to find someone to seat me. They really don't make it easy to get a table. Secondly, the... More

I had never heard of the place but friends of mine remembered the place from years ago. We went here after we saw a matinee of Kink y Boots. The atmosphere was nice and different. Very rustic and I think its a farm to table place or that's what it reminded me of. I had the deep fried Canadian smelt... More

I enjoy trying new places in the city and thought we would give this one a try. Decor and atmosphere was interesting. We waited in the foyer for at least five minutes before anyone appeared to seat us then the host seemed very confused. There were two groups ahead of us and each time he tried to seat someone he... I saw this place profiled on a Food Network TV show where it was given rave reviews. Thus while in town for the auto show, we had to try it! Our expectations were high. The atmosphere is awesome - a crazy cool collections of antiques, artwork and such. The hostess was friendly and attentive. Our waitress on the other hand... More

Let me just start by saying that I was really hoping to like this place. I had read about it in Hour Detroit magazine and had driven by it last month. I was hoping to add this to my list of "finds" and have another favorite restaurant to go to when I'm in Detroit. However, this place disappointed in many... More

I meet some people for a luncheon meeting. The place is dungy, so I guess it would be quaint. The food is ok and pricing is reasonable. The service was slow and not very professional. They seem that gratuity is expected, but not earned.
