Midday al fresco lunch

Midweek lunch sitting outside on the smallish patio. I've been here before but didn't sit outside and it was nice eat lunch in this revitalized neighborhood. Good service and great signature sandwich showcase on Food Network. Worth the drive to midtown from the burbs.

Thought the place would have been better. Extremely slow waitstaff that did not know the menu. Once food arrived 30 minutes later for lunch sandwiches it was OK. I would not go back.

My family and I had lunch here yesterday! It was very good. I ate the swordfish kebabs, fantastic! Kids had seafood pasta and husband ate the smelt. Plates were cleaned! It was a leisurely lunch so if in a hurry, this may not work out.

I am a big DDD fan, so whenever I visit a new place I search out the restaurants that Guy has visited. This was one of them. The inside is warm, cozy, and full of character. The service was friendly and the food delish. I ordered their brisket panini (they had me at brisket) and the waiter suggested house-made cheddar... More

Wonderful atmosphere. We had great service, fun interaction with waiter. Place and people there show the energy of the rebirth of Detroit. Really enjoyed it!

We had the BBQ panini. It was huge, but mostly bread. The sauce had an interesting kick. I don't need to have it again. Dessert was quite good. We shared a chocolate chip cookie with homemade ice cream and hot fudge. Yummy. Trendy olace; ok food; great desserts.

We enjoy this restaurant for lunch in the midtown area during the work week. It's within walking distance for us, but there is ample parking. The food quality is good but you have to usually budget about 1.5-2 hours for lunch, and that is clearly not always convenient.

We finally got around to checking this place out after watching DDD many years ago. I don't remember the episode specific all other than wanting to try it. After reading many reviews I concluded that those who saw DDD were more disappointed than those who didn't mention the show. That was helpful and allowed me to just experience the place... More

A staple in mid-town, good prices, great food and fantastic beers. Been going here 25+ years and still a staple in this revitalized area of Detroit. Great service and the food and service are always great! So much has happened in mid-town but this icon has withstood the test of time.

Traffic Jam & Snug is a very interesting place. The service is great, the building is entertaining in itself. I had the mac&cheese, with the mushroom soup, it is pretty good. My wife had the Ethiopian plater with cucumber instead of bread, our friend had veggie lentil burger, both enjoyed their meals. I highly recommend the Irish egg rolls its... More
