Check out online for a Diners, Drive-in and Dive and this came up as a suggestion. The name sounded interesting so took a chance. When on vacation always looking for local places to eat. Had butternut squash ravioli which was so good with a Proper Pilsner to wash it down was excellent. For dessert the apple cobbler with fresh apples... More

I was in Detroit for the marathon and went to The Traffic Jam for dinner. I was not impressed. Food was not cooked as requested. Service was ok but slow. Crab cakes had lots of filler and were of low quality. Overall a below average dinner.

The description and menu sounded like we were in for a delicious treat. Unfortunately, while our choices (hummus, Mac and cheese, Caesar salad, brisket sandwich, squash ravioli) were good, nobody was wowed by the food. We went for lunch and the place seemed to be filled with senior citizens. We were even shushed by a group who felt we were... More

As a fan of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dive", I really wanted to check out this place when we recently attended a Lions game. It was easy to find and not far from the stadiums.. about 1.3 miles I think. We were quickly seated in the large former warehouse by a friendly hostess. The decor was very eclectic and interesting. Our... More

I like the food here and the atmosphere is nice too. Service is usually good too. Park in the lot across the street. Home made cheese and beer and other stuff too.

My wife and I are big fans of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives", and wherever our travels take us like to try out a "Triple-D" restaurant whenever possible, and for the most part, we've been satisifed. On September 13, 2014 we attended a 7pm Detroit Tigers home game, but arrived early so we could have lunch at the "Diners, Drive-Ins and... More

I have not been to the Traffic Jam for a while, but previoulsy had been there several times. I was hoping that my most recent visit would re-affirm my positive view of the place...and it certainly did! This continues to be one of my favorite lunch/dinner/brewpub places in Detroit! I went here for lunch with a co-worker after a meeting... More

Two couples of a "certain" age drove around the corner after the Crash Detroit Festival and had a wonderful meal. We were greeted at the door by our lovely hostess who showed us to a nearby booth. We sat down and realized we wanted to move to a table and they accommodated us readily with no hassle. Our server was... More

A group of friends and I decided to make a trip downtown to the Traffic Jam. They are known for their in-house bakery, microbrewery, and dairy. They even grow some of their own herbs up on their roof top. I decided to try their house brewed dopplebock braised beef brisket Panini sandwich. It comes with potato salad. It is a... More

Although this place might not look like much from the outside the food really is fantastic. They have their own beer too which is ok, but the food here makes it well worth a visit.
