After an afternoon concert at Orchestra Hall, TJ was a great choice for dinner. The parking lot across the street is a welcome option. We were seated immediately and although the place is very large, the sound level allows for easy conversation. My dining companion had the Ethiopian Platter and I had the Tex-Mex lentil burger--both very good. Sweet potato... More

Great location, awesome setting. The waitress was good but not very friendly, maybe having a bad day?? My daughter and I each ordered the pulled pork. The serving was way too big. Not a great take home meal as the bread was soggy. Would share for sure, if we went back. 4 of us each had dinner, 2 desserts and... More

Just started working in the New Center Area and have been exploring dining options. This was a treat! The veggie lasagna was terrific and service was exceptional...even during the lunch rush. I will definitely head back soon!

Love the decor and ambience. At first I was impressed and inspired. they brew beer, grow vegetables, make cheese and even their own tea. They were visited by Guy from the Food Network, all sounds great! Read the menu the night before going. Not wowed by much. Looked pretty generic except for an Ethiopian dish? Random. 2 of us settled... More

The menu is off-beat and interesting. Gourmet sandwiches, soups with homemade breads, local brews in an interesting building. The service was excellent and the waiter was very knowledgeable and had no trouble making good recommendations. Visit the bakery for some take home giant cookies and bread. Be sure to check out the neighboring shops which contains Shinola.

We were in Detroit for a concert and wanted to check out a DDD spot. This place was really neat. Tons of antiques to look at on the walls and ceilings . We were surprised at how big it was not at all what we expected when we pulled up. 3 of us got the brioche French toast and one... More

Dined here for lunch. Staff was very personable, our waiter was friendly and professional. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and loved the cozy quaint building located on the Wayne State Campus in Downtown Detroit.

I recently saw this place featured on Triple D with Guy Fieri and after going here, I was not impressed. First off, the hostess and staff that are supposed to seat you are horrible. Every time I've walked in, I'm looking around to find someone to seat me. They really don't make it easy to get a table. Secondly, the... More

I had never heard of the place but friends of mine remembered the place from years ago. We went here after we saw a matinee of Kink y Boots. The atmosphere was nice and different. Very rustic and I think its a farm to table place or that's what it reminded me of. I had the deep fried Canadian smelt... More
