Went with a group from work and the boss took us out for working so hard in the office. This place is a hidden gem, I have drove past this place several times and never noticed it. The crab cakes were excellent. The bread I think is on the same line as Zehner's in Frankenmuth, very good I am even... More

It just so happened, when sitting at the bar, one of the owners was there and we talked for a bit before she had to go back in the kitchen, yes she was an owner, but worked in the kitchen. She told us a bit about the place, including about the greenhouse on the roof, where the grow produce used... More

I hadn't been here for years and went Dec 17, 2014 for a lunch meeting. Decor is dated, food was uninspiring. Lentil burger was totally tasteless. Service was less than fair. A disappointment. Midtown Detroit is up and coming. This place may be left behind.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly service. Plus we received a Theater discount without knowing about it or asking.

Parking is a breeze for a Midtown restaurant. We went after a theater performance, we had planned on another eatery.....but outdoor atmosphere for that place made us hesitant. Menu explanation read much better than actual presentation and taste at Traffic Jam. Would only go again for 'drinks'.

We stopped by the Shinola store and decided to have lunch at the restaurant just besides it. The restaurant has a warm feel and is pretty large. Did not look so large from the outside. The food is good too.

Our group of 8 received such terrible service. We had to send someone to get our waiter. Also, the place is REALLY dirty. Makes you wonder how dirty the kitchen is!

We had a party of eight for an after theatre dinner. Good thing we made reservations on a Saturday night, as the place was hopping. The restaurant has a lot of different rooms and is much larger than it appears from the street. TJs is a classic Detroit spot. The menu has many interesting options and the food is really... More

We were visiting Detroit over the Columbus Day weekend to visit family and go to the Detroit Institute of Arts. We had an early lunch at Traffic Jam. Sometimes I wish TripAdvisor had a 3 1/2 score. The restaurant is above average, but due to the dark decor a little less than very good. Our boys had the fish and... More

Check out online for a Diners, Drive-in and Dive and this came up as a suggestion. The name sounded interesting so took a chance. When on vacation always looking for local places to eat. Had butternut squash ravioli which was so good with a Proper Pilsner to wash it down was excellent. For dessert the apple cobbler with fresh apples... More
