Authentic Mexican Food in Detroit

This is an old favorite of mine and when I visit Detroit, I try to visit here. It's no-frills authentic Mexican food that's actually pretty cheap. The area around it is quite run down, but inside you won't notice. The food isn't the caliber of what you'll get in Olde Town Mexico in San Diego... read more

food was decent, but not great. Wait staff was good. The place was very loud, and it was not near capacity at all. It is cut off from the rest of the restaurants by the freeway, making it a bit isolated and somewhat worrisome.

Excellent eats, excellent price, excellent service. The Shrimp Fajitas was superb and bursting with freshness and flavor. The Margarita was perfect, not too tart or too sweet. And our waiter Omar was the best. He polite demeanor was so pleasant and he apologized profusely for the time we had to wait for our food which was not a problem for... More

You don't have to go anywhere else for Mexican food; and it is good. They can accommodate huge crowds as they often do. My favorite is the Arizonian combo, a beef lovers platter with a side of rice and beans.

Came here with an extremely large group. They did well to accommodate. The food was good. The wait was not long and the waitstaff did well.

Very nice restaurant in the southwest area of Detroit. Safe parking with supervised attendant. Prices are very reasonable. Food is abundant. Atmosphere is authentic. My taste prefers the salsa at the Utica location, but all in all well worth the money. have been there before a Tigers game and before the opera. Not far off the expressway and easy to... More

I have been coming to this restaurant for 32+ years - since I was a little girl. It never seems to change, which in this case, is a good thing. I suppose parts of the restaurant could use updating, but I like the ambiance personally. The menu is extensive, and I have never had anything here that I didn't like.... More

This is the home of $9.45 combination plates stuffed with four different fried items, refried beans and rice. $2.95 drafts and pitchers of mediocre margaritas round out the experience unless you want to include the fresh salad served with packets of salad dressing (sorry, I am not making this up). Mexican Village is located across the street from Honey Bee,... More

This place has the best enchiladas around. I have never eaten anything at this place that I did not like. This is a place, you must come to when your in the area. They have security to watch your cars. You feel safe and welcome when you get there.
