Wonderful Greek pastries, cookies and ice cream!

This is a wonderful local pastry shop! Most of the time the treats are wonderful; however, there are days when you might get a semi-stale treat. But, that never stops me from visiting! I work a few blocks away from Greektown and almost every time I'm there, I stop into Astoria. Their selection... read more

Greektown bakery that is must visit each and every time you visit. Fresh pastries and the most reasonable big city prices you will ever see. Cookies, tarts, desserts that look as good as they taste are in this shop. Also ice cream and it is better quality, shorter lines and less expensive than cold stone in Greek town.

We were wandering around Greektown in the early evening, looking for ice cream, when we happened to walk by here instead . . . the view in the window is spectacular . . . looks like an old fashioned baked goods shop with a huge display case that wraps all around the store. The potential selection was amazing . .... More

This place was just awesome. So many different pastries and EVERYTHING was so delicious and fresh. The location and staff are also tremendous. If you like Baklava... It's awesome.. you like cannoli... It's amazing and there are tons to choose from. Just great sweet treats!

I decided to play tourist while downtown and one of my favorite places to visit and get dessert has always been Astoria. I always order the same thing-Tiramisu. Most of the time is fantastic! This time there seemed to be something wrong. There was so much liquid in the bottom that it turned the cake mushy and tasteless. Maybe it... More

Got off at the Greektown People Mover stop to take a look around. Immediately spied the pastry shop and stepped inside. It truly does remind me of the bakery I went into as a little kid - also felt like being in another country. There are rows and rows of choices and the place was crowded. The staff is less... More
