The rattlesnake club is an upscale restaurant on the river shore. The indoor and outdoor seating are both excellent. We enjoyed the food and drinks for a private party in one of their rooms. Afterwards it's a nice stroll down the river or a drink on the river-view porch.

The good news is that it's a decent restaurant you can easily get into during the week. They have quiet outside seating that is nice. The food is pretty good, not mind blowing. It seems that the fish off the grill part of the menu is better than the red snapper I got that was OK. The BBQ shrimp appetizer... More

I have been going to the Rattlesnake sporadically for almost 20 years. It's always a little bit different every time. Sometimes great, and sometimes just good. Either way, it is a standard that has weathered some tough times. This last visit was good, but the reason I'm writing this at all is to praise the filet mignon. I ordered it... More

This is my first time here. I have heard a lot about it. We stopped at the bar for a martini on this Friday nite. The bar was packed. We went to our table about 7PM and the restaurant was only a third to a quarter full. It was decorated very nice. I had a calamari and shrimp appetizer, which... More

The Rattlesnake Club has been a Detroit Institution for decades and a target for my culinary interests for almost as long. It is situated at the old Stroh Brewery complex with a lovely view of the Detroit River and Windsor, Canada. The main dining room is decorated in modern decor which is warm and the large picture windows take advantage... More

Relatively long-standing restaurant known for fairly fine dining and top-notch experience. Has had some uneven periods in its history, so comparison to past visits is inevitable. First imperfection-no valet parking. No signage for valet parking. Attendant at lot at the end of the street offered to park the car for $1 more than the general parking fee. Hnuh? Declined the... One colleagues of mine recommended to me this restaurant and we went there for a business dinner. Even if there was just another table, we waited too much for the starter, and dessert. Food was fine and also there were big portions of steak. Beer from a local brewery, recommended by them, was too light.

My partner and I had valentine's day dinner at the Rattlesnake and the experience was absolutely fantastic. To start, the location is pretty good, although driving to it can feel odd if you are not used to the city. It is near the river, so if the weather is nice it is a short walk. The restaurant looks nice and... More
