Good restaurant in a wonderful location

This is my first time here. I have heard a lot about it. We stopped at the bar for a martini on this Friday nite. The bar was packed. We went to our table about 7PM and the restaurant was only a third to a quarter full. It was decorated very nice. I had a calamari and shrimp appetizer, which... read more

The Rattlesnake Club has been a Detroit Institution for decades and a target for my culinary interests for almost as long. It is situated at the old Stroh Brewery complex with a lovely view of the Detroit River and Windsor, Canada. The main dining room is decorated in modern decor which is warm and the large picture windows take advantage... More

Relatively long-standing restaurant known for fairly fine dining and top-notch experience. Has had some uneven periods in its history, so comparison to past visits is inevitable. First imperfection-no valet parking. No signage for valet parking. Attendant at lot at the end of the street offered to park the car for $1 more than the general parking fee. Hnuh? Declined the... One colleagues of mine recommended to me this restaurant and we went there for a business dinner. Even if there was just another table, we waited too much for the starter, and dessert. Food was fine and also there were big portions of steak. Beer from a local brewery, recommended by them, was too light.

My partner and I had valentine's day dinner at the Rattlesnake and the experience was absolutely fantastic. To start, the location is pretty good, although driving to it can feel odd if you are not used to the city. It is near the river, so if the weather is nice it is a short walk. The restaurant looks nice and... More

Went with group after the auto show. I may have chosen the wrong dinner--grilled shrimp was extremely dry and had no flavor. A person in our party had perch and raved about it. The service was very good and the dessert of white chocolate ravioli was wonderful.

My wife's filet was also great. We're not always beef eaters, but I had read good reviews. Boy, were they right! It's always been a great venue; don't know why more people don't flock here. Side dishes were good, with one exception (according to my wife).

Attended a business dinner at the Rattlesnake Club. Beautiful location overlooking the water and Windsor, Candada in what appears to be a converted warehouse. Close to all the major downtown areas including Ford Field, Cobo Hall and Renaissance Center Street. The street parking was easy and there is also a parking lot across the street. Servers were pleasant and unobtrusive.... More

Went to the restaurant for a dinner meeting around 7 pm. The restaurant was very quiet, not many customers, did not look like to have good business. When salad was offered, it did not look like fresh at all. Several bad pieces of vegetables were inside. When the entree was served, food looks OK, however the size was too small.... More
