This restaurant is a bit expensive but the food is interesting and delicious. We sat on the patio because it was a pleasant evening.

My niece had her wedding out front just behind the river walk. Very picturesque spot for a wedding. The reception was inside in what is like the grand lobby for whatever offices are upstairs. The ceiling is worth looking up in the daytime. Food was quite tasty which isn't always true when serving a banquet size group.

Although somewhat off-the-beaten path, the Rattlesnake Club's outdoor seating offers views of the river and seclusion from the cacophony of the nearby city. The night we were there was perfect, with a cool breeze and plenty of shade. The service and food did not quite live up to the standard of the setting, however. I had a kale and goat... More

Great food, ambiance and better than average service. Started with the Caesar salad with a perfect dressing, lite and flavorful. Had the chefs special salmon, seared with warm pink inside made to perfection. My sweetie had the Coriander scallops on angel hair, and again perfection. It was our anniversary and the gave us a flour less chocolate cake with the... More

This is a 5 star restaurant in downtown Detroit on the river. Incredible appetizers and entree's. Known for their steaks, but every dish those in our party had was incredible. Not the cheapest place in town, but it is the best. Take someone you want to impress, or someone you want to treat. It will be a meal you will... More

Our friends got married in the courtyard across the street and had their reception at the restaurant. The food was good but the drinks were awesome! If you are planning a wedding I'd recommend taking advantage of their open bar option. The bartenders made very strong drinks and were extremely nice! The layout and location of the restaurant are great... More

We went to this place recommended by a colleague and we were not disappointed at all. It is a little expensive, but it worth it. I went with three other colleagues and everything we ordered was great. We started with the Michigan Cheese Course, I had the halibut with tomato and artichoke risotto, the others ordered the lamb, duck breast... More

I returned to the Snake for Restaurant Week with 9 members of our Herd. This time a table for 10 was waiting in the dining room and we had a wonderful evening. The food choices were great, something for everyone and cooked to perfection. After that perfect Sazerac in the bar area (made by the best bartender ever!) I had... More

This was my first visit to the Rattlesnake Club. We asked our waiter about the origin of the name and he didn't seem to know, but he was overall very attentive to my group. I ordered the goat cheese salad with kale for an appetizer which was a little sparse with the goat cheese and not all that flavorful. I... More

Downtown Detroit has some good places to eat, but my favorite is the Rattlesnake. A longtime resident of it's home down by the water, the food has been dependably great for many years. Lots of choices, from fat steaks to delicious fish, all prepared with a deft hand. You can usually find a table without too much trouble. In the... More
