The pizza at the original Buddy's is the BEST anywhere; great antipasto too. They have a guarded parking lot.
Went for lunch- pizza is fabulous fabulous fabulous..... However, we went at lunch time (I brought a co worker from Ireland) - he asked me "why is there a man in the booth outside?". I let him know that's to ensure that we have a vehicle waiting for us when we're done. He loved that there were some signature t'shirts... More
Sketchy area but great pizza. Staff had good customer service. Very caring locals. Prices were great for food.

I have heard of Buddy's for a while, well on a impulse we made the two hour drive to Detroit for lunch at the original Buddy's pizza. It was well worth the drive! They had so many choices on the menu, we ended up getting the meatball appetizer and two pizzas. The meatballs had a homemade taste to them and... More
The original deep dish pizza! This place has been my go to pizza shop for years, ever since I was about 3 years old. I couldn't remember the name at that age but my grandparents knew where to take me, I said, I want the thick pizza. The sauce is terrific and the pie is perfectly baked. The antipasti salad... More
I moved away from Detroit over 20 years ago. Every time that I come up to visit family the first stop is ALWAYS Buddy's. Nothing else compares to it. The crispy, buttery crust and sweet sauce mixed with the creamy cheese....ugh, it's amazing.
They are not kidding when they say Buddy's is some of the best pizza in the US. I quite frankly don't think I've had a better pizza (still haven't been to Italy though!). It's packed with flavor and textural contrast you don't get elsewhere- crunchy edges, stretchy, melty cheese, crisp pepperoni, and a tender yet sufficient crust with a good... More
Although I am not a native "Detroiter", my husband is, and during a recent visit to Michigan, my brother-in-law suggested we have dinner at Buddy's. Even my husband was slightly reluctant when he realized we were dining on "6 Mile". I wasn't sure what that meant, but I got the general idea as soon as we drove into the area.... More
Buddy's is a good place to go for pizza. I was there only once, but the service was good and the pizza was good. They have a Coney Dog Pizza that is very good and hard to find. The prices are reasonable.
