La Dolce Vita is one of those places we seldom think about, but love every visit. It is a small restaurant with limited inside seating. Fortunately, it was a beautiful evening and we sat on their lovely patio. All 4 of our party started with the table side Caesar salad. It was prepared perfectly. We all had different entrees. Pasta... More

So nice to return to this hidden gem for dinner! La Dolce Vita's claim to having "the best lasagna you've ever eaten" may be a little over the top, but not by much. It is absolutely delicious, as are most things on the menu. The restaurant itself takes you back to Italy in look and feel, and an evening there... More

My husband and I dined here for the first time on Friday. We had a 5:30 reservation which wasn't really necessary because it was almost completely empty. They sat us in a weird spot so we asked if we could move and we moved to a table by the window, which was much nicer. Our waiter was great, drinks were... More

My husband and I visited this establishment for a private party. The patio was to have been set up for the event, but that was not the case when the birthday girl arrived, which set the tone for the entire afternoon. We were forced to hold the festivities indoors due to the influx of bees swarming the patio. Once situated... More

We go there for the brunch fairly often...great food, great atmosphere and tucked away, you have to know right where it is to find it. I highly recommend it.

We were visiting Detroit area and were looking for a nice restaurant for dinner on a Sunday night. Many places downtown were closed on Sundays or closed early. We found this restaurant through Trip Advisor and decided to give it a shot. It is seriously hidden so you have to look for it. We drove by it the first time... More

Four couples had been to this restaurant a year ago and had a fabulous dinner in a charming restaurant. However, this time when we scheduled a 80th birthday celebration with family, we were deeply disappointed. The waitress was not attentive since we had to search for her to bring the selections we had ordered. She had no personality as well.... More

La Dolce Vita is one of my favorite places to eat in Detroit. The food is excellent and the staff is usually so accommodating. We had 8:00 pm reservations on a Saturday night, and although the restaurant was packed, we were seated within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, on this particular Saturday, our experience was not the usual excellence I have come... More

LOCATION: Palmer Park District, Detroit. I met a friend of mine here for lunch while on vacation in Detroit. You could easily miss this restaurant, because the name isn't on the building. Just the letters "LDV" for La Dolce Vita. There's valet parking in the back of the building, but there's no set amount. ATMOSPHERE: There's a charming patio with... More

This fine Italian Restaurant is a hidden gem in Detroit. Quietly nestled across from Palmer Park, it is difficult to find, but worth the search! Valet parking is available. In June they open the outdoor patio, with strings of twinkling lights at night and beautiful greenery during the day. The ambiance is quiet and intimate. The chef is authentically Italian... More
