Brunch, Outstanding

Hosted a Baby Shower/Sprinkle there for their Sunday Brunch with 13 Ladies. The Brunch Menu that I selected had eight choices for them to pick from. The one most selected was the Omelet of the day which was made with sirloin tips, filet mignon, peppers and onions, and it was excellent. Almost... read more

This is a favorite place of all 3 couples. A hidden gem on our way to a concert in Palmer Woods. Where able to make reservation on patio but told come early... Would not hold the outside sitting. Thought that was strange; if we had reservation why not hold the out side seating we requested ...on arrival we were able... More

Well this was our first visit to La Dolce Vita and honestly when we approached the restaurant at 6 Mile and Woodward I thought there had to be a serious Map Issue. The Surrounding area buildings have seen their better days for sure - However if you look carefully along Woodward behind the over grown trees and weeds you will... More

La Dolce Vita is truly a Detroit Gem hidden in the quiet Palmer Park area of the city. I had the wonderful experience of having brunch at this lovely establishment. The perfect place for any type of celebration. Great food in a festive atmosphere! We started with a round of French 75 and everyone had something different for brunch. You... More

Came here for restaurant week this year with good friends. The menu sounded good and I really wanted to like this place, but there were multiple issues I had... -Food was just okay -Prices were steep off the restaurant week menu -No ambiance at all, really strange decor -Wait staff was kind of awkward, multiple waiters for one table but... My Wife and I took advantage of Detroit's Restaurant Week and visited this gem for the 1st time. One of their special dinners was out due to its success, but they substituted another lamb dish that I would have chosen anyway. The service was as excellent as the food. We will return to this restaurant and maybe even on a... More

Three of us stopped in for brunch on a warm spring morning. We had a choice to eat inside or outside on the courtyard patio, and we opted for outside. It was a great choice, and what a wonderful place for people watching! An eclectic mix of age, gender, race, ethnicity, with many coming from church in their finery and... More

Four of us ate here during Detroit Restaurant week. Only one of us ordered the DRW menu. Everything was very good: pasta, entre salad, lamb shank. The service was excellent and the atmosphere lovely. We ate on the outside patio and enjoyed the night. I'd recommend it, though it is in a bad neighborhood, the parking was valet and just... More

I hosted a Sunday brunch for my family at LDV and three days later am still thinking about how enjoyable it was. The food and service (including valet) were terrific. I look forward to returning for an early lunch or dinner when it is not as crowded.

We met friends for an early Valentine's dinner with reservations. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The other couple had suggested the place, and we were not disappointed. Calamari appetizer was large enough for the three calamari eaters to enjoy.Minestrone sipper enjoyed his soup. I had the veal chop on special. It was wonderful. Quite a big chop,... More
