After hearing such good things about La Dolce Vita we were a bit disappointed. We arrived at 11am to a line at the gate which seemed encouraging. The only parking is Valet for $5, but truly seems like a bit of a con since they also use a side lot that seemly belongs to no one in particular. The restaurant... More

Visited this place based on the great reviews and I'm glad I went! I took a friend who was visiting from Florida (her first time in Detroit) and this place did not let me down!!! I had the shrimp Benedict which was amazing!! she had the omelette of the day, which she said was pretty darn good. The food portions... More

The service was excellent, the veal medallions were exceptional and the chicken picatta was not too heavy on the sauce. The blueberry pie was a great top to the meal. This is a gem that is hidden in plain sight on Woodward Avenue.

I came here on a Thursday night with girlfriends after visiting the DIA. It was a fabulous evening. The photos on the restaurant's website and here on TA do not do this place justice. The inside and the outside patio are very charming and inviting. You wouldn't expect the inside to be so nice based on the neighborhood and the... More

In the middle of the suburban blight behind a wrought iron gate is the hidden courtyard of La Dolce Vita - a delightful Italian restaurant. The courtyard is a brick paved area shaded by a tall ivy covered wall, trees and umbrellas. Tables and chairs fill the area as well as a full bar. The door to the dining room... More

This is a favorite place of all 3 couples. A hidden gem on our way to a concert in Palmer Woods. Where able to make reservation on patio but told come early... Would not hold the outside sitting. Thought that was strange; if we had reservation why not hold the out side seating we requested ...on arrival we were able... More

Hosted a Baby Shower/Sprinkle there for their Sunday Brunch with 13 Ladies. The Brunch Menu that I selected had eight choices for them to pick from. The one most selected was the Omelet of the day which was made with sirloin tips, filet mignon, peppers and onions, and it was excellent. Almost everyone went home with leftovers. Their French Toast... More

Well this was our first visit to La Dolce Vita and honestly when we approached the restaurant at 6 Mile and Woodward I thought there had to be a serious Map Issue. The Surrounding area buildings have seen their better days for sure - However if you look carefully along Woodward behind the over grown trees and weeds you will... More

La Dolce Vita is truly a Detroit Gem hidden in the quiet Palmer Park area of the city. I had the wonderful experience of having brunch at this lovely establishment. The perfect place for any type of celebration. Great food in a festive atmosphere! We started with a round of French 75 and everyone had something different for brunch. You... More
