Easily one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Had the Filet Mignon and it was cooked to perfection, the wine and service was also amazing. Our waiter took us around the whole house after our meal. He was amazing. The house is beautiful. I cant wait to go back!!!

We had Sunday brunch at the Whitney. It has been restored and returned to its original beauty. The building is phenomenal and gorgeous. The brunch was outstanding. The food was delicious with many choices. The staff did a good job of keeping all the food replenished. The service was efficient. I noticed the staff giving the history of the home... More

All my adult life I have heard about The Whitney and how amazing it is, so I went in thinking, finally, the best Detroit has to offer. It was very good, but left me feeling a little confused as to what experience I was supposed to have. I was expecting fine dining at its best. I didn't get that. The... More

The taste and quality of the food was AMAZING. However, as a whole the experience was not so great. We sat down and I had a dirty coffee cup. So the waiter replaced with a not so dirty coffee cup. When the waiter went back the second time to get a third coffee cup I took notice of the FILTHY... More

The weather kept the crowds down, so it felt like a private room in the classic building. The appetizer selection is heavy on the seafood, with excellent crab cakes. Highly recommend The Witching Hour Cocktail.

The Whitney is a beautiful old mansion full of historical detail. The rooms are cozy, warm and intimate. The setting is quiet and very romantic. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The perfect place for dinner before a show.

We came here for Detroit restaurant week 2014. Fair warning, the menu is pretty pricey. My option for dinner included a small bowl of broccoli and cheddar, a 5 oz steak and mashed potatoes dish, and a piece of chocolate cake for dessert at $30 per person, not including the 2 beers I had. The food itself was good, but... More

My wife and I dined here with another couple to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived a half hour before our reservation so we could enjoy a drink at the Ghost Bar. It is a beautiful old home. They have done very well to maintain the grand feeling of the rooms. We were seated in the front sitting room. It was... More

I visited the Whitney for the first time last weekend, they sat us by the front window, which gave us a nice view of woodward ave, but left us freezing I guess the windows are old, and the lack of drapery or even heat (there was a vent right in front of the window, but it wasn't blowing out any...
