If you like Chicago style pizza and pretty fair thin crust, this is for you. Long a mainstay for us for a meal before a Lions game, it's always reliable. Try the Calzone as well.

Located directly across from the Greektown casino, it's well located for a ton of foot traffic. Conveniently placed within walking distance of the monorail and a number of destinations. This does result in a usual long wait during game days and regular meal times. Unfortunately for the long wait times, the food takes awhile to be made as well and... More

If I made a list of the five best pizza places in metro Detroit, the question wouldn’t be: “Did Pizza Papalis make it?” The question would be: “How high is Pizza Papalis on the list?” It’s a no-brainer. The pie is incredible, every single time. Unless you’re in a heck of a hurry, you have to order the Chicago-style pizza.... More

With the tremendous amount of pizza places around town, you have to have a really good product to be on top. Pizza Papalis is in the heart of Greektown which is near the People Mover. This is a great draw for people who are downtown for some sort of game of convention. Pizza Papalis is always usually crowded with people... More

Pizza is great, deep-dish style. A little pricey and I recommend calling ahead and ordering your pizza unless you don't mind waiting about 45 min for your pizza to be made. It has a great ambiance and in the heart of Greektown

Went with the kids & another family. Great deep dish pizza this side of Chicago! Long lines but they seem to move quickly. We were able to place our order before our table was ready which sped things up. Will definitely come back for more!

This was the best Chicago deep dish around. And that includes Chicago, because, I tried all the big one's there too. But, I just went there on 10/28/14 and something changed, I think it the dough but not sure? I know it not the same, not as good as it was, but, still better then most pizzas. We all know... More

You have to wait 45 minutes for it but this deep dish is borderline mystical. Monroe is a fun street to check out with lots of bars. A small deep dish here at Papalis is plenty for 3 people. Decent local beer selection.

I grew up in the Windsor, ON area and always find a way to make time for this restaurant! if you are ever in the Detroit area and you enjoy pizza this is a must for you. The staff are fun and approachable, Greek town is always a treat to crowd watch and the food is dynamite! Well worth the... More
