Great food, huge selection. Always friendly service. They do have a bar area, big serving of food! Parking can be a bit tricky.

This place smells bad in the entrance and the food never gets good. Gloppy heavy cheese laden poor tasting food is what you get. The good news is that there is usually plenty of horrible food on the plate. Go anywhere else in Mexican town and you'll have a better meal.

We have been going to Mexican Town in Detroit for over 20 years and Xochi's still delivers. Great menu selection, good service and the prices are still good. Example: Flautas dinner (with beans and rice) for under $8. The Margarita's are delisc' but they are a little pricey....$19 for a pitcher, but I still get it every time. The Botana... More

It had been a couple years since I've eaten here, and I was disappointed at what the place has become. My wife and I decided to eat in Mexicantown and were deciding between Mexican VIllage, Taqueria mi Pueblo and this restaurant. We decided on Xochi since we had eaten at the other two more recently. Big mistake. First of all,... More

If you're looking for 'fast', don't go here. If you're looking for something 'comfortable', don't go here. If you have some time and are looking for some of the best Mexican food ever, this is your place!!!! This place will be busy and is somewhat crowded. But the service is good and the food is outstanding. We go to Mexi-town... More

Authentic cuisine- great salsa but very loud atmosphere! We went on a Friday evening and felt like we had to shout across the table. All in all we may visit Zocolo across the street...

Be careful. This is Detroit. Go during the daylight. The food is OK. Not fantastic. Go for the experience of the entire community. Lots of cheese on everything. There are other good Mexican restaurants in other suburbs. This really isn't anything special. On Friday & Saturday, be prepared to wait in line. The restaurant has passed its glory days.

Mexicantown is a favorite weekend haunt, Xochimilco is the place for spicy Mexican food. The wait staff are friendly and the food is exceptional, free home made chips and salsa are in abundance also lets not forget the sangria. The tacos and burritos are to die for. Don't miss it.

We have many Mexican restaurants to choose from in the Mexicantown/Mexican Village area of southwest Detroit, so it had been a while since I'd visited Xochimilco. From the chips & salsa to our meals, everything was tasty. My favorite is the burrito-which is served w/beans & rice.
