EXCEPTIONAL DINING EXPIERENCE

My wife and I visited Detroit for a week in August attending the ASAE conference and dined at several restaurants and Joe Muer Seafood was one of our favorites in north America. This restaurant is a revival of a Detroit Seafood Institution. Fantastic selection and great food served in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the water. Highly recommended. Valet Parking and Self Parking in a garage is available.

A lovely place, rather old-fashioned classy, with an engaging view of the River, perfect service and delicious food. My party of five was all delighted with it. And the coconut cake may be the best I have ever had. A great Detroit experience by a group from all over the country.

This was a last minute meal that we fortunately got to experience since the bar is open seating. They take reservations so I suggest you make them! Best Oysters Rockafeller ever, Lobster Bisque and clam chowder were wonderful, the bread was fresh and the drinks were cold. All of the meals that passed by looked good and ours was divine.... More

I used to love going to the original Joe Muer's when I was a kid, so I was really looking forward to my first visit to the revived Renaissance Center location. Of course, there were plenty of good things and we had a basically pleasant visit, but there were some downsides. To start with, price: I don't mind paying nearly... More

Right next to the river with gorgeous views from just about every table. I loved the waiters in coats and ties. It really gave this the fine dining feel. My meal was good. The portion size was good. One side was enough for two people. While we didn't have any dessert, the dessert cart, yes I said cart, was incredible.... More

I so enjoy going to the restaurant, First and foremost before I eat a bit of food is the service at this location. From the front of the house to the back. THE SERVICE HERE IS THE BEST. The food is top and the atmosphere is just lovely. and PLEASE SAMPLE THE DESERT.

We visited Detroit last year and found this restaurant on trip advisor. It was so amazing we had to come back this year while in Detroit. Make reservations because they are always busy. You should request outdoor seating because the view of Canada is beautiful!! Their seafood is wonderful, got to meet the owner while there, what a nice guy,... More

I go to Joe Muer quite often. Many times with groups and business dinners. Yesterday we made reservations through OpenTable to have dinner with another couple before the Tigers game. Our reservation was at 4:30pm. Early and basically in between lunch and dinner. The place was EMPTY. Upon checking in for our reservation, a manager approached us and very rudely... More

First vist AWFUL. I went to sit at the bar and get a cocktail and appetizers. I had 40 min until I had to pick up my son. I did get the cocktail but my soup did not come in 40 min. Had to have them pack it up and pick it up after picking up my son. The food... More
