Bon Apetit!

Joe Muer Seafood is definitely one of the best and high end seafood restaurants in Detroit. The service is always top notch and the food is beyond words. I am a bog fan of Oysters and Lobsters and that is what I usually order every time and it never disappoints. For desert, I absolutely love the... read more

I travel weekly on business, but because the bad press - I never cared much for Detroit. However, last week I visited Joe Muer's during a trip to Detroit. I must say - this restaurant was extremely impressive, and completely changed my impression of Detroit. Being on an expense account I enjoy the privilege of eating at fine restaurants all... More

Great views over the Detroit River and Windsor, Canada. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. I used it for dinner with my wife when the ambiance was lovely and the piano player set the mood. I also used it for a business lunch when it was bright and relaxed. The service is perfect.

So I have been gone for a long time and still remember the days of this restaurant in its' original location on Gratiot. They have since moved to the Renaissance Center, certainly an upgrade with regard to the view and immediate surroundings. They still pack them in, obvious a power lunch hot spot. I was a part of a party... More

We had a wonderful dinner here on a Saturday night. Reservations are a must, and the restaurant was quite busy. Everything about the setting is classy and nice. We have been here a few times before and always enjoyed it, albeit it is pricey. You need to know that going in. Our experience this time suffered a little because the... More

I visited Joe Muers for a friends birthday on Friday March 5th 2015, upon being seated the server Steve greeted our party of 8 with a very nasty disposition. Later when asked for more lemons, he pointed to the one that was on the table and stated "you have one there". After bringing the bill he stated that he only... More

Restaurateurs can't be blamed if Americans scream when they go out to restaurants, for some reason. The noise level is high here, and the baffles in the ceiling are not of the absorbent variety. Other than that, I only have raves for this restaurant. For starters, we had the best lobster bisque of our lives. Classic-attired wait staff arrive to... More

The atmosphere is great with a prime location on the river. The food and service is fantastic. The appetizers are delicious, the main course was excellent.

My wife and I stopped in for Friday night Happy Hour. We grabbed two seats at the bar. We each had a couple of drinks and share the crab balls (not cakes). Drinks were cold, crab balls were delicious. We would definitely return.....possibly even for dinner next time.
