I know my titles celebrates the sushi, but I don't think you could find an item on the menu that isn't great for the taste buds. I will say that a few of us in my group had sushi to start and thought it was some of the best we have ever eaten. The service was also outstanding! We had... More

Excellent incarnation of the "old" Joe Muer's, with several improvements. First -and it's a big one- just like the big boys they take reservations!!! And they are necessary at prime time, especially for the outdoor area and river view tables. Second- much better location, in the GM building (RenCen) and a contemporary decor. Riverside setting is fabulous. Third - all... More

The Muer family dominates Detroit-area dining. However, at least for me, Joe Muer Seafood is the top of the heap. Riverside view, great atmosphere, outstanding service and a delicious and broad menu make this one of my favorite spots.

My family and I were celebrating my Birthday dinner here on Saturday evening. The food was outstanding. Seafood and steaks were perfectly cooked. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. I was very pleased. My husband had mentioned that it was my bday and it was not acknowledged (which was ok w/ me!!) but other than that... The sushi there was very good. Dessert looked delicious although I did not try any. Service was very good and professional. We had a lovely table with a nighttime view of the Detroit River and Canada.

Had a fantastic meal here. Seafood and steaks are all good. Service is great and the place has a touch of class about it. There is outside dining when weather allows or just sit on the terrace and grab a cold beer?

A property of Joe Vicari's dining empire (Andiamo, et al) the new place may have the same cook book as the revered dining establishment on Gratiot Ave (now gone; a vacant lot today), but it does not hold a candle when it comes to service or food. Waiters lack training; the kitchen gang can barely use a broiler correctly. It... More

Was in Detroit on a Tiger's baseball weekend and stayed at the Courtyard. While walking along the waterfront saw Joe's and had to try it. Spectacular is the word!!! The view of the waterfront was picturesque, our server Wayne was awesome; a local who shared some funny Detroit stories, oh and the food........great, delicious, wish I had 2 stomachs so... More

Loved the location along the Detroit river walk. The food is expensive but worth it. Outrageous steak and seafood prepared and seasoned perfectly. Waiter was knowledgeable, entertaining and attentive.

Recommend: Any Sushi Roll Shrimp Cocktail Steak Delmonico The restaurant features nice views of the Detroit river and neighboring Canada. The sushi rolls are very fresh and made right next to the bar for you to watch. The shrimp are nice and lump. Be sure to get extra horseradish if you want an extra kick. The Steak Delmonico was packed... More
