Great food...excellent service

We had a decent sized group and were seated at the Chef's Table. The food was great - I don't think I heard any complaints from our table. The service was amazing. Our server always seemed to know when anyone was low on a drink, water glasses were always filled. They anticipated all of our needs.

Value = Getting something worthwhile for the money spent, right? Not only worthwhile, but good, great ... and in the case of Joe Muer Detroit, add: delicious, utterly fresh, totally attentive, professional, fun (near the piano!), and beautiful (inside and thru every window to the international water view!). So yes, it's expensive, for sure ... and it's an experience, one... More

Had dinner here with my spouse and some friends a couple of weeks ago. We had the window seats in a booth. I cant say enough good things about this place. From the service to the food it was all around a great experience. The apps are fantastic! we ordered 4 different ones as well as some sushi to start.... More

Although downtown Detroit streets are a challenge due to construction this is s top restaurant with a great view of the river and Windsor . The appetizers shrimp plate was 10 large luscious shrimp , the Dover sole and crab legs were delicious . And the coconut cake was a must not miss ! Give yourself time to get there... More

Six of us went to Joe Muer's to celebrate my birthday on June 14th. We had a lovely table overlooking the Detroit River. The white tablecloth gleamed, the flatware was spotless, and the service was proper. The oysters rockerfeller were excellent which I ate with a perfect martini. Then came the surprise - over cooked salmon for $42 a serving!!... More

if you do not look old with gray hair and possibly wealthy then don't expect to get great service at this restaurant . I was so disappointed with the all around customer service here I will make it my goal in life to make sure no one around my age goes back . It was just me and my boyfriend... More

Great place for a romantic dinner or a business gathering. The view is breathtaking of the river and of Canada. The staff is very formal and the menu has great selections. The Boston Chowder and Sushi were hands down amazing. A little pricey but well worth every penny.

Growing up around the Detroit area the Muer Brothers had lots of restaurants ( and still do) and I had the opportunity to work in one in college. So when Joe Muer's reopened a few years ago at The Renaissance Center downtown we knew we had to go. This is my second time and it never fails to please. The... More

The service and food were top notch. We had the seafood sampler. Very fresh with many accompaniments. My daughter asked to see the dessert cart even though she knew what she wanted. They walked her through every dessert and answered all her questions. When her dessert came it had a message... "Enjoy the show". The service was impeccable in every... More
