My husband and I celebrated my birthday by dining at Joe Muers.. Our wait staff was lovely, and informative. She was very knowledgeable about the wines. My app was shrimp and my husband had mussels - both were delicious !! I had scallops for my entrée and my husband had the crab legs. The vegetables were so good - could... More

The food is truly some of best I have ever had. Our server made our night fun by rapping the desert presentation when we asked her too. The staff picked the best oysters that night and they absolutely where the sweetest I have ever had. We also enjoyed the red wine choices. The server added special touches like giving is... More

I enjoyed just walking around this restaurant and then when my food came I was pleasantly surprised. We loved the fish tacos, calamari, and fish and chips...sadly we were too full for the scrumptious looking desserts. Great place to go...especially when staying at the Ren Cen!

I was at the Ren Cen for a conference and was invited to a party at Joe Muer seafood. The party was for over 80 diners, so we had a limited menu. The kitchen did a great job serving the large group in a timely manner with hot food coming to the table hot and cold food cold. The service... More

Good sushi menu, well made by great sushi chefs. I sat at the sushi bar, which normally is fine as alone eater (travelling on business). It was fine, but I didn't feel as comfortable on my own as I do in 'proper' sushi bars. Not the fault of Joe Muer, basically a lot of couples and a few tables of... More

This place is pricey but worth the price, staff is very friendly. Great seafood choices. Don't miss the desserts while you are here. I've been here several times and love it.

We were in Detroit for the Auto Show and stayed in the Marriott Renaisance. The restaurant is in the same complex so we when there for convenience. It was a great and pleasant surpirse. The three of us liked it so much, we came back the next night. We were not disappointed. The service is excellent and the decor is... More

We ate here in the early afternoon after a day of traveling. Our server was Andrea, and Sam was also nearby, both were very nice, courteous, and had great recommendations!! I had the Muer roll and the swordfish oscar-style!! It was some of the best seafood I had ever eaten, along with a great view and atmosphere. Would highly recommend... More

I don't like or eat seafood. Sooooo maybe I am not the best to review this, but I must say that they excel in more than food from the sea! We made reservations via open table and upon arrival, we had to wait maybe 10 minutes due to my request to be seated on the river view side. Get seating... More
