Delicious, Great Experience, Overpriced

Not sure if you are paying for the ambiance or what here but it really doesn't have to be that expensive. Celebrated my birthday here recently with my family. Don't get me wrong, we all enjoyed our food, the seafood was amazing, the service was great, the view was beautiful and the overall... read more

Service was very good- I think her name was Alissa. We loved all of her suggestions including sushi, specialty drink selections and brilliantly described the specials of the day and offered to have us share two entrees and plated them so that we did not have to pass plates around. We did not have time for dessert because the restaurant was... More

If walls and tablecloths could speak one could hear about many automobile business deal having been made (or possible still being made) in this place. Anyway, more important is the food obviously, which actually is outstanding. A great number of items to choose from. My appetizer was the smokes salmon. It was nice, however a little rich, I prefer it... More

Dined there with another couple. Entrees were broiled whitefish, baked haddock over king crab cake, and barramundi stuffed with lobster and crab. All great. Mac & cheese is great too. Would give 5 stars except service was good, but not great. It was very nice sitting on the balcony overlooking the river. Expensive but worth it.

I had heard that this was not like the old Restaurant and they were right. But it stands very well on its own. I loved my meal and my waitstaff. Excellent, excellent service. Amazing food. We will be back!

Dined 7/11/15, We 2 couples had been boating and called to check avaialbility, they said they could take us. We arrived 6:45ish, were greeted warmly and seated in the bar area as restaurant was fully reserved. (We asked for a different table) Ours was right next to waiter's station, bar area not so full. The wedge salads were large and... More

We stopped by the Ren Cen for lunch and decided to try Joe Muer's. First we were insulted by the hostess as our pants were not up to their dining room standards. These were Columbia pants - not jeans. We were taken to the bar area and served by the same staff that serves the dining room - why did... More

Fabulous food and service. We had a retirement dinner for a good friend here and it was almost perfection. Then the bill came. Honestly, we knew going in that the prices were high and we decided to splurge. It was very convenient for most of the guests who were staying at the Marriott Renaissance anyway. I was worth it. The... More

Had an awesome lunch there. The Raw Bar Platter was great. Loved the smoked blue fish (never had that before). Nice wine list. Staff was outstanding (Sandra) and the Motown music was the cherry on top. Even caught one guy humming to the tune while working (love that). Just beware the dress code, they aren't kidding!

Service is usually better, but because of conferences the wait was a little long. Most servers are extremely thorough, however the last visit was a little lackluster in duties. Great place for lunch, big splittable burgers, unique sushi and many fish plates. The bar menu is also a good find, unique yummy drinks for all the seasons. Enjoyed a pre-game... More
