Happy with our Happy Hour

Stopped in with my sweetie for Happy Hour drinks and snacks on our way to a jazz concert. Jeanie, the bartender, was terrific - efficient, friendly and helpful. She suggested the house special drink "The Caipirinha" and I was glad she did - light, refreshing and tangy. Appetizers were tasty and... read more

We stopped by on a Wednesday night and even though there were available tables and we had a reservation we had to wait for 30 minutes. Salad bar was good with shrimp and fresh cheeses. When we got to the meat courses the meats were good but the service was slow to our table and our plates were empty most... More

We visited Texas De Brazil, downtown Detroit, Michigan on March 12, 2015. We made reservations for 830pm, before we arrived. The waiters were very nice and dressed appropriately. On the salad menu, there was an array of variations to choose, from prosciutto, to smoked salmon, to jumbo shrimp. Dinner was pleasant with conversation, as numerous waiters brought out various cuts... More

If you are pinched for time or not starving I would recommend you sit at the bar order an appetizer and a Brazilian rum drink. You will not be disappointed. The bartenders are all very nice and will be very helpful to be recommendations.

This place was full, so we thought it would be really good. Such a disappointment. The food is just too salty and after you order the selections with no salt, you can't taste anything. We were crammed in where others had to constantly bump into our seats, because of the lack of space. Lots of cheap cuts, flank steak and... More

I rated this restaurant three stars because something has to change in their seating policy: reservations, no walk in or no reservations only walk ins. Please read on. Texas de Brazil was an experience we wanted to encounter for over a year. It was a spur of the moment plan to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday, that we started by attempting... More

Had tried, though albeit unsuccessfully four separate times to eat at this restaurant. However, when we finally were successful every bite was enjoyable. The salad bar was nice, and the meat service was great. We received the cuts we wanted and cooked the way we wanted. The place however is a little short on ambiance. But all in all it... More

The salad bar selection was not as great as I had hoped it would be, and the meats that I requested to not come to the table in in a timely manner. Overall I had a much better experience at the Chicago location.

The good news? No real menu. The better news? The menu comes to you! Although you have to make an effort to go to the 50 item salad bar, it is worth the trip. The cheese selection was a wonderful complement to the other items on the bar. Unfortunately, the sushi and soup selections were shellfish-based, so my husband (who... More

The food was great, out waiter was amazing, and I like the downtown atmosphere. We never tried the lamb as it was not brought around to our table. And, we did have to request filet. Our waiter asked if there was anything that we wanted and weren't getting, so I assume they run the "cheaper" cuts of meat more regularly... More
