A little pricey but tasty....

It's hard to find a great miso soup, however these guys have figured it out. It's the real deal dashi (kombu+Bonita flake broth) and a nice complement of miso, tofu, and veggies. I'm a meat eater, but this is a vegan soup that is great whatever your taste buds like. The other items on the menu... read more

We've been meeting in Detroit for three years in anticipation of a big event, and each time we are here we try to get to Wah-Hoo. The food is very good and their sushi selection is exceptionally tasty according to my friends. It gets crowded for lunch, so come early or a little later than the business crowd if you... More

We were visiting Detroit for the auto show, and this was the first restaurant that we found on foot. The waiter was very kind offering to allow me to borrow his phone charger while we ate! He advised us that appetizers were half price so we got the pot stickers and teriyaki wings. Both were tasty! For the main dishes,... More

I understand this is a great sushi restaurant. I did not know that and am not a fan of sushi. It didn't matter the food was good, the prices were fair and the service was something similar to what you might expect at your favorite watering hole. They are very down to earth and friendly in spite of their renown.... More

Wah-Hoo is one of the best sushi restaurants in the Detroit area. The Nico, Philadelphia and California rolls are very tasty--some of the best I've ever had. Their Chinese dishes are just o.k. I'd highly suggest trying this restaurant for Happy Hour so you can work your way around the menu and find what you like without spending full price.... More

The restaurant was just behind our hotel and during our 2 weeks in Detroit we had the opportunity to visit it a number of time during our stay. On our first visit we ordered the Wonton Soup and Pepper Steak and Pad Thai noodles for our main dish. I am not one for Chinese food but I must admit the... More

I was there with my family and we all ordered a different entree, each dish was delicious! The vegetable chow mien was cooked perfectly, and the appetizers were great too. Will definitely return.

I ordered lettuce wraps and a spring roll. the food was delicious and also was prepared fairly quickly considering how packed they were. the guy that helped us out seemed a little stressed by how busy the restaurant had been, but he still gave great service and cracked jokes. (there was a very large convention in town that weekend) if... More

Way overpriced and mediocre at best and this was a day I was severely craving Sushi. Never again. The host was totally frazzled even though the restaurant was only half full. The waitress did a good job for us though, but did not seem very happy. Strange environment, needs an overhaul.

Went for lunch with the girls - Add to pay extra for crab in hot and sour soup! When questioned where crab was - got a snotty response from waitress that it was in there. Got food and it was cold, after waitress told us they were just plating our food. Food had no flavor or spice - funny for... More
