Great Service

We were in town for a concert at the Fillmore and decided to eat at RUB BBQ beforehand. The place was PACKED (concert & a Tiger's game = people everywhere). My husband and I went here for a quick dinner before seeing Jerry Seinfeld at the Fox Theatre. Because the Tiger game was away, we were able to get a table right away though there were a decent amount of people in the restaurant. I ordered the Bob Seger sandwich, pulled pork on Texas Toast. MMM MMM GOOD! Well-seasoned fries... More

Met some friends at Rub for dinner before a Tigers game. The staff was friendly and explained their sauces and sandwiches since we had never been to Rub before. The food was very good and was right in line with other BBQ places in the Detroit Area. Prices were reasonable and we will be back.

Stopped by prior to a Detroit Tigers game recently. We had been to this restaurant previous years and enjoyed it. We expected a wait so we didn't mind the 1/2 hour as we ordered a beer at the bar from their large selection. This was the best part of the experience. Most 16oz Micros were $5.50 to $6.00 which beats... More

We stopped here before seeing Louis Black at the Fox. We arrived around 6 p.m. and had no wait to seat our party of 6. Chose this place because of what appeared to be an extensive craft beer list to go with the barbecue. It seems the taps are all hooked up to about 3 different kegs. What we ordered... More

This place by far has the best bbq in the Metro Detroit area hands down. Perfect location down the street from Comerica Park. The pulled pork nachos are out of this world good! The Seger sandwich was also phenomenal! The atmosphere would be perfect for any sporting event. The staff is great and very fast. This place will definitely be... More

I loved this place. We ate at the bar when seats opened up to avoid the wait (which wasn't long for a Saturday night). We enjoyed the Tennessee pulled pork with sides mac & cheese and green beans and the Beef brisket with corn and baked beans. This place serves great BBQ, craft beers, and a true bar scene. This... I went there last night with gf. We were going to go to Slows which I know is the trendy joint, but not worth the hastle as it was 8pm on a Saturday. Rub was uncrowed and nice inside. Super waitress (Nichole). Nice selection of crafty beers on tap. I had a Motor City pale ale. Gf had strawberry margarita..nice... More

The service here was terrible, and it wasn't just limited to a single person. Mediocrity is acceptable. The food took too long to come out. Our table of four was served a couple plates at a time, four minutes apart. Our food was cold. Our waitress never got us refills, never asked if our food was OK, and never offered... More
