Three of us guys stopped by Rub to get some drinks and eats before the MAC Championship at Ford Field. I've eaten there before. Instead of getting entrees we settled for appetizers. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The burnt ends were phenomenal, as well as the mac & cheese, fried pickles, and BBQ Nachos. We were stuffed. The Long Island... More

Okay, I give places the benefit of the doubt. Granted, the reviews of this joint were mixed at best, but it stretched even my ability to see it through my glass half full perspective. Bathrooms. Any more neglect would have required a call to the local health authority. Bear in mind this is Detroit. I'm accustomed to rugged johns. Service.... More

Worse food and service. Everything was cold. The wait staff needs to go back to waiter school as the food is thrown at you. We went with 10 people and all of us hated this place. Too bad, there are so many cool restaurants in Detroit now We even had an $8 mistake on our bill Horrible place!!!!

I thought it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful when making some of our food choices. 6 different BBQ sauces to choose from is pretty cool. Try the potato skins appetizer. So good!

First sign that we should've walked away was when they brought out a Guinness in a plastic, disposable cup. It was thin, watery and just plain bad. A place this close to Ford Field and Comerica Park should be able to do it right with as much business as they take in. The place was packed. The food was served... More

Very friendly place to have a brew and some really good BBQ! The staff was on the ball, and the crowd was nice...everyone seemed to have a good time watching the game and enjoying the food.

The ribs were cold, dry and hard. The rub on top was cakey and just bad. The mac and cheese was runny. It was like the kind you buy frozen and warm up. The corn on the cob was not fresh and they drowned it in seasoning salt. Yuck!!! I don't like seasoning salt on anything. I don't like salt... More

My husband and I stop hear all the time when we go downtown for a Tigers game. This time we asked for a Guinness on draft. What they brought us was not Guinness. If you are a Guinness drinker you know the signs of what it should look like. Thicker stout, dark in color...what we received was thin, watery, and... More

We had a great experience. Our food was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. It's a sports bar kind of place, maybe not ideal for a romantic evening, but definitely a good place to catch up with friends or grab a bite before a game. We'll be back!

The brisket was good, and the variety of sauces were fun, but the place was jammed and the music was blaring. We could barely hear the waitress. Also, beer comes in large glasses, and wine is served in a glass the size of a champagne flute.
