You know you have a good experience when your 12 year old and 8 year old point out how nice your waitress is and how much they loved it. We eat out quite a bit, and good service is hard to come by, let alone GREAT service. We had Jennifer as our waitress and she was super knowledgeable, attentive, and... More

The menu items are named after Detroit natives and are delicious. The Rub Pub has a great location and the front of the restaurant opens up during the summer.

My husband and I had dinner at this pub while killing time before a concert downtown in April 2013. The food was to die for, and a great price too! The atmosphere was amazing as well because it was the Tiger's opening day! We had a lot of fun and a great meal.

We like to come here and eat before/after sporting events and other shows. Last visit was Feb. 2013 after a concert at the DSO. It's always crowded and bustling with activity but the food is great. Love their ribs and mac and cheese.

Some friends and I decided to stop here on the way to the ALCS game, and we were glad we could find a table upstairs after fighting the crowd to get into Cheli's with no avail. The waiter was very good despite having a packed house, keeping tabs on us on several occasions after we ordered drinks and food. The... More

The food was terrible, if your looking for bbq food in Detroit try Red Smoke in Greektown or the always busy but great slow's. The service isn't much better and the management isn't that friendly.

Well. The "When in Rome theory" Definitely speaks out loud when in Detroit. Never thought in my life that I would find this Southern BBQ pit master of all places DETROIT!!! We ha the 6-8 person platter for the first six of us, and it was like a Stafford long bomb to Johnson touch down pass!! It was out of... More

We like that RUB BBQ and PUB has gluten free selections marked on the menu. The food is okay and much less than eating gluten free in the area. They also have GF beer and ciders on tap!
