Very Good BBQ

We went yesterday after the Tigers game. Very few people in Greektown so there was no waiting. Our waitress was excellent. She never seemed to rush us and she was very attentive. Ribs were great! Very flavorful and a half slab with a side was plenty. They have five sauces at the table which they... read more

We went at a busy time just before the Redwings game and still did not have to wait long. Service and food was great!

We are from the south, so it's hard to get good BBQ like we expect up north. But this place had some pretty good BBQ, and the sauces (5 options I believe) were spot on. Sweet potato fries were delicious, and the service was prompt. All in all, great trip!

I'm a girl from the south and my grandpa makes amazing BBQ in his own smokehouse and this place sure came close to beating it! My fiance and I split one of the combo platter with shredded pork, brisket and chicken. The brisket just melts in your mouth, it was so yummy! Our server was great, very upbeat and always... More

Red Smoke was suggested to us by the gentlemen at the front desk of Holiday Inn Express. So we decided to go and we didn't regret it at all. The food was amazing and the prices were not that bad. We got the "Feast" if you are hunger after you leave you are a big eater. I like the idea... More

I know that everyone thinks in order to get good bar-b-que one has to go the world famous Slow's of Detroit. Even Guy Fieri came to Detroit and went to Slow's. The problem is he never stopped at Red Smoke on Monroe Street in Greektown. The food at Red Smoke is better than Slow's. I work in Downtown Detroit and... More

Modern restaurant setting that comes off as appealing and falls short of delivering... I am far from a "foodie" but I had my taste buds set for good BBQ and this was far from good BBQ. It was palatable at best, with the best tasting meat chewy & fatty. I slathered sauce on to help get some taste and get... More

This was actually a good place for a rib and brisket dinner on a cold night with gals weekend. I had the half slab Carolina ribs and added the poblano and red smoke sauce which tendered a great spicy combo!! I ordered the plain Mac and cheese side with the jalapeño bread. I enjoyed it very much and warmed me... More

Went on a Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm as a party of 8. The restaurant wasn't busy and our service was not very good. We were there two hours and some of us never received a refill on our drinks. We ordered a variety of different meals. The back ribs were ok but dry, the apple wood chicken was good,... More
