This Corktown fixture on Porter Street is tiny...sits about 35 people shoulder to shoulder. Expect a wait during busy times. The deli sandwiches are wonderful. I had a chicken and pesto on ciabbata and it was huge. Hubby had a plain corned beef and was able to polish it off. There is a great beer and wine selection too. We... More

This place goes beyond the typical "deli". The sandwiches are amazing and can be paired with a cold beer, including many fine craft beers. Expect amazing meats that are smoked on site. Wait staff was patient with the youngsters at our table and was most accommodating. The place is small and on a corner in Corktown, a great part of... More

My husband and I had lunch at Mudgies. Restaurant is a little tight and no where to sit when waiting on table, but wait was not too long and worth the wait. Sandwiches are excellent! I had the turkey sandwich and was wonderful. Everything is fresh and delicious! The wait staff is young and very friendly and fast! I would... More

Sunday AM brunch was dreat, but a limited menu compared to their regular breakfast. Great food and service in a small unique setting. Prices were great.

Small, vibrant eatery convenient to downtown and nearby neighborhoods. VERY popular and VERY busy on weekday lunch. Quick, efficient service helps turnover, so wait shouldn't be terribly long, like 10-15 minutes. There's a nice pocket park across the street, good for hanging out while waiting, in nice weather. Super friendly staff go out of their way to make things go... More

Nice little out of the way deli with good local and organic selections. We went primarily because of the gluten free bread option - the sandwich was excellent and the rets of the family enjoyed their selections as well.

I don't like sandwiches much. I don't prepare them for myself, and I will rarely buy them. This place is the exception. Every time, I order something different, and every time, it is exactly what I needed. The restaurant is rather small and rather popular, so expect to wait, but it will be worth it!

Mudgie's is our go-to lunch spot when we are visiting Detroit. I wish we had this place where I live!! The food is fresh, home-style, creative cooking. It offers me delicious and fresh gluten-free options, and they are generous with their portions. We usually leave here stuffed, and with no room for dessert!! Their sandwich combos are creative, interesting, and... More

These sandwiches are amazing. They are filling, layered with toppings that make flavours burst as you eat... always a filling meal. The restaurant is quaint, a little tricky to find on a first visit - but you'll never forget after that! It's so delicious. I've tried the salads, the soups... but when you get a hankering for a good sandwich... More

Enormous menu with reasonable prices. Someone said it's pricey, but it's not. Fresh food, good soups, cute atmosphere. Thanks to places like this that are bringing people into Corktown.
