Great Sandwich. We all Agree!

We ate lunch at Mudgie's on a Saturday afternoon. ( My husband, me and two teen-agers) We were expecting it to be slow and it was not. Every table was taken but we were greated right away and we didn't wait long for a table. The sandwich was big and tasty. I was really impressed with the potato... read more

We had high hopes given all the glowing reviews but found the food to be just okay. The sandwiches weren't anything out of the ordinary and the appetizers were uninspired. The selections read well on the menu but the actual sandwiches were less than expected. The lone stand out was the watermelon gazpacho which was exceptional. Indoor seating is kitschy diner... More

Been here a few times and always have had great food. Had breakfast and lunch and different items and their food always impresses. Their wines are unusual but are always good and reasonably priced. I haven't been able to find their wines anywhere else. One my favorite restaurants!

Mudgie's is a small restaurant in Corcktown that specialises in sandwiches. While it is off the Michigan Avenue restaurant strip, it is not far off the beaten path. Come here for well made sandwiches made with fresh ingredients, as well as an excellent selection of local/Michigan beers and wines. Happy hour prices can't be beat!

Only needs three things to be perfect: quieter music, air conditioning, and a license for liquor for the outdoor terrace. Food is fabulous, sandwiches are super yummy, beer and wine selections are excellent, appropriate, and very affordable. Servers are charming, well informed, and able to advise knowledgeably. Prices are very reasonable. Looking forward to the recommended improvements, but even without,... More

What a neat little place this is! They have a nice outdoor seating area which is cute and quaint (as is the indoor space as well). My son took me here for father's day. We both had Rueben sandwiches. What can I say. It may be the best in town. It was hot off the grill ! The corned beef... More

Mudgie's is a high rated restaurant in Detroit. As a non-meat eater, people are always recommending this place to me however I was not impressed at all! I work in Corktown and had a co-worker pick up sandwiches from Mudgie's for lunch. Money = poorly spent. I didn't know my bella sandwich would be cold. I guess that's fine. But... More

They had a great selection of very unique sandwiches or you could create your own. Very small inside, but a nice environment. The restaurant is in an old style house. No fountain pop; bottled coke tasted like coke from Mexico. Looked like they had a lot of craft beers. Overall the food was great, waited a little long for it... More

Mudgie's has a variety of interesting sandwiches and several tempting main course dishes. The bread is advertised as artisan created and was very good.

I've been to Mudgie's a few times, and I love the Honey Bee salad! They also have great options for my vegetarian friends. Recently, I went with a group of six, and I was happy we got a table right away because it's a small place. We were looking forward to trying the Sunday brunch menu but they were only... More
