I had a WOW experience!!!!!!! The chicken was moist and fresh. Also, it's marinated to perfection and I love it!

I heard that Bucharest Grill was the place to get Shawarma in Detroit. I got the Chicken Shawarma and I have to agree. Moist tender chicken, great garlic sauce. Do not expect great service if you order delivery, this place is so busy the people on staff can barely keep up with the orders. Thursdays and Fridays are the busiest... More

How the heck can a place sell you a chicken schwarma for 4.50 and the thing seems to weigh a pound? Those things are delicious and I can see why there is a line for the Bucharest Grill. The schwarmas are fantastic--the best we've ever had!

Me and my husband were staying at the Regency Hotel in Detroit and the very friendly guy on the desk recommended this place when we asked for somewhere reasonable to eat. This place had great atmosphere too, it's attached to a bar so it's very lively. It was amazing! We had the Bucharest Schwarma and it was incredible. It's a... More

I heard great things about the chicken shawarma sandwiches at this place and it did not disappoint. I had the best chicken shawarma sandwich ever. I also like the location. We went there last Sunday as we were going to an event downtown, it was busy and lively and fun. The food was awesome, my partner had stuffed peppers and... More

This is definitely a spot for if you are from here or from out of town. Last Sunday in the early afternoon a group of 10 ordered at the counter and our order was ready in about 15-20 minutes. Had to wait for a table to open up but the guys ate standing up because they just couldn't wait! The... More

I think the Bucharest definitely lives up to its rating; a great spot for out-of-towners staying downtown. Definitely one of the best places to eat dinner alone I've been. Circular bar and often-communal tables, with the food servers coming and going, lend themselves to good people-watching and chatting. The food is solid, large portions, tasty and affordable and there's a... More

My intro was a couples' outing with extended family, all beyond the median age of patrons. Hard floors, wall surfaces, faux industrial decor make for LOUD but oddly courteous atmosphere. Food is a Mediterranean mix with emphasis on near east - extensive, GENEROUS shwarma menu. On street parking only, so try to avoid popular evening hours. Service in such a... More

I was here last year and was in town for the car show so I stopped in. The chicken shwarma was still awesome. I will be sure to go every time I'm in the area

I have never had a chicken schwarma before. I didn't even know what it was but I read the reviews and was downtown with time to kill. Just a little dive bar/restaurant. There was a line of 15 people waiting for takeout at 11:30 am. The tables were full so I sat at the bar and ordered the schwarma and... More
