I have always enjoyed the atmosphere there for drinks and have never really been that impressed with the food selections or quality. It has a bit of a throwback bar look and I can just picture the old Ford guys lining up at the bar after a day at the office.

After a very long day of travel just grabbling a bite in the hotel seemed like the way to go. We ended up here (as opposed to the other end of the hallway where there's another more formal restaurant) just to eat, relax some, and catch up. It wasn't especially busy, but service was rather slow. The ten Eyck burger... More

So we heard that this bar had good bourbons for a good price...yes, we're so there. We get there and it's very quiet, but that's OK 'cause more focus on us. We peruse the premium bourbons and settle on Basil Hayden (nice!). My partner orders a Manhattan, so far so good. I order a whiskey sour and ask that the... More

We stayed at the Dearborn Inn and after a day of in the museum, we settled in for some lite fare at the tavern. We received good service which is consistent with the Inn, nice food and a pleasant atmosphere. Everything you would want. Sorry we didn't sample Edison's, the full service restaurant in the same hotel. Oh well, we'll... More

Ate here twice while in Dearborn. Nice atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. Price and value are good. The second evening I went down to get take-out and they were very helpful and gracious with packaging and food.

After a full day on the road and another full day visiting Greenfield Village, we enjoyed the Tavern's relaxed atmosphere and light eats/drinks at the end of each day. Helpful, friendly staff, too.

Have gone here many times after business meetings. It is reasonably priced, the service is good and location is very convent.

OK. I know it's a bar. And it's a bar in a historic inn whose restaurant is named for Thomas Edison. But really. Turn up the lights just a little bit please. When I walked in, I was overwhelmed by darkness. Thank goodness the drinks, food, service and comfy chairs compensated.Top shelf bourbon was priced surprisingly reasonably, the chips and... More

We ate dinner one night at the tavern. The food is pretty basic but good, since it shares the kitchen with Edison's. It is mostly sandwiches with fries but you can substitute healthier starches. The service was good and there were a few draft beers reflecting local micros. The server was attentive and nice.

Ate dinner there the night of arrival. The hostess were fantastic and extremely helpful. The food was great and reasonably priced. If you are staying at The Dearborn Inn, be sure and eat in the tavern.
