I have been to all of the famous Chicago style pizza taverns in the windy city, and I must say that Detroit does it better. Pizza Papalis is my favorite deep dish in the world, and I drive 30-45 minutes out of the way to frequent this location every month or two. The deep dish with pepperoni and sausage is... More

I have the pleasure of dining here 3-4 times a year. This is the only true deep-dish pizza I'm aware of in the Motor City. Others do try and some have a decent product, but the pizza here is always a strong 4. So if you love deep-dish and are really hungry - this is your place! This covers my... More

The pizza was not quite what I'm used to but was great anyway! The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. I would definitely go back!

This is the best deep dish pizza around. There isn't much else to say, it's great and it's great consistently. Make sure you are hungry and understand that there is going to be a 45 minute cook time. You will leave stuffed and happy! I recommend the deep dish VIP.

We tried the resteraunt on our trip and ordered loaded tator tots, 16oz of miller, and a pepperoni deep dish. The food was great, however while we were eating there were gnats flying around. The service was okay. Cost was about $40. Pizza was the best part and I would get another one.

My wife and I had never tried deep dish before as someone recommended to go there. Although a pricey place to eat, very delicious indeed.

We recently went to dinner here after another local Detroit pizza place was full. I was a little hesitant upon entrance because the place was almost empty. I had eaten at the locations in downtown Detroit and Toledo numerous times and loved it. I also knew how long it takes to get a deep dish... 35 minutes. With this knowledge... More

Be ready to shell out some money for pizza or much of anything else here. Starting with parking issues in West Dearborn, and ending with a bill that will shock you. I have tried Chicago style pizza at a number of places and this is just okay. Nothing wrong with the food, service, or atmosphere but not worth the price... More

I first eat here in the 80's, the pizza was thicker then and bigger. But the flavor and taste is still the same. I have been to Chicago and tried alot of the deep dish pizza's and pizza papalis is still the best pizza around. Its the next best thing to ??? .

This restaurant was very accomodating. My husband had just run a marathon and needed a quick meal so the staff recommended something to order and brough two colas to the table immediately. My salad had cheese in the dressing, which I can't eat, so I was brought another, larger salad to replace it. The vegetables were cold and fresh. My... More
