Very good middle eastern food

Our family has been going to Cedarland since the early 1990's and it remains a favorite today. This is a family owned restaurant and we love the food from the grilled meats to the salads. It is great for any size group but especially good for large groups and we recommend one of their very large... read more

I have no real prejudices when it comes to food.... Caribbean, Italian, Polish, Middle Eastern, Indian,Chinese, Japanese..... Diner, dive or haute cuisine, street food, its all fair game for me. Dearborn has a large Middle Eastern population, and Middle Eastern restaurants that run the gamut, from High End to Fast Food. Cedarland is somewhere in the middle... its not fancy... More

The lady that took our order was so impatient we felt like we were dealt by a warden at a Russian jail. They give a few items on the house ( soup, bread, etc) so by the time our entree arrived we were almost done. Food was just average. Somehow not a pleasant dining experience. I would just go to... Try the boneless chicken with rice. Also the starter combo. Food is ok, decoration no so good. Staff is great. Ask for suggestion they always find something for you.

Based of recommendations I tried Cedarland Restaurant. I ordered the Kabob sandwich, and tabouli salad. The sandwich was average and the salad was very dense but not flavorful. Maybe there are better menu choices but my selection wasnt memorable. Slow service.

On a family road trip we stopped here along with a few other restaurants on Warren Ave. The whole chicken here had authentic flavor however the one we had was over cooked and hard on the outside. The garlic sauce and pickles were great.

This is a family owned business and it shows. Everything is cooked from scratch and with love. We ate the best baba ganoush and hummus that we've ever put in our mouths. And we lived in the Middle East for 5 years!! There is a reason for this. Fresh eggplant and other fresh ingredients...this makes a huge difference. If you... More

I grew up in Detroit, but live in Chicago. We make it back every 6-8 weeks or so. When I was a kid, my Lebanese grandmother made dishes like lamb and eggs, meat pies, and kibbee nyee (raw kibbee). No one could hope to touch her cooking (and she's been gone over 40 years) but Cedarland is one of the... More

It should have been telling when we were handed sticky laminated menus that felt nasty as coudl be. The lentil soup was pretty tasty, but my veggie platter I ordered was very disappointing. The Baba Ghanouj was okay, but the Majedra was like eating chopped up cardboard, unbelievably dry. The Falafel was also very dry, though there was a hint... More

There are no shortage of fantastic Middle Eastern restaurants, but despite all the choices, we always seem to end up at the Lebanese restaurant Cedarland. The spices are perfect, the meat is tender, the portions are huge. Standouts include the lamb, the lentil soup, the rice and - a surprise - the chicken wings. I suggest going with a few... More
