A local sent us here for authentic Mediterranean food

We asked a local person where to eat good Mediterranean food. She gave us directions to Cedarland restaurant. We had swarma, both the meat and chicken varieties. It was very good. The restaurant was not busy when we were there (a mid-afternoon lunch), and the service was prompt, if not cheerful... read more

On a family road trip we stopped here along with a few other restaurants on Warren Ave. The whole chicken here had authentic flavor however the one we had was over cooked and hard on the outside. The garlic sauce and pickles were great.

This is a family owned business and it shows. Everything is cooked from scratch and with love. We ate the best baba ganoush and hummus that we've ever put in our mouths. And we lived in the Middle East for 5 years!! There is a reason for this. Fresh eggplant and other fresh ingredients...this makes a huge difference. If you... More

I grew up in Detroit, but live in Chicago. We make it back every 6-8 weeks or so. When I was a kid, my Lebanese grandmother made dishes like lamb and eggs, meat pies, and kibbee nyee (raw kibbee). No one could hope to touch her cooking (and she's been gone over 40 years) but Cedarland is one of the... More

It should have been telling when we were handed sticky laminated menus that felt nasty as coudl be. The lentil soup was pretty tasty, but my veggie platter I ordered was very disappointing. The Baba Ghanouj was okay, but the Majedra was like eating chopped up cardboard, unbelievably dry. The Falafel was also very dry, though there was a hint... More

There are no shortage of fantastic Middle Eastern restaurants, but despite all the choices, we always seem to end up at the Lebanese restaurant Cedarland. The spices are perfect, the meat is tender, the portions are huge. Standouts include the lamb, the lentil soup, the rice and - a surprise - the chicken wings. I suggest going with a few... More

I went there last Wednesday and it was so good. I'm sure what I had exactly because a friend ordered a platter style meal for 3 of us. There was lentil soup which was good, the best hummus I've ever had, amazing tabbouleh, delicious pitas, all the meat was delicious too (chicken, lamb, kofta (I think), the falafel was fine... More

Been frequenting this place for yrs., very good, fresh food. Excellent lentil soup, good lamb and chicken dishes, sandwiches n hummus and baba ghannouj. They don't do their our pita like a lot places in Dearborn that have bread ovens but still, a solid place and a great value.
