Located in historic Greenfield Village, this tavern is really a throwback to the days of yore. Being a season pass holder at the Village, I go at least three times a year and will always eat at the Eagle Tavern. You'll be seated with others at large tables and really, that's part of the charm. The food is often sourced... More

Good food, but family style eating is not something we enjoy. Stay away from their holiday night.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The unique thing about this place is all the food is from the the 1800's. The prices are a little high if your'e planning on feeding a whole family, but for two, it was reasonable considering the location inside Greenfield Village. The food was very good and the bread plate which was included, was great. The best cornbread I've ever... More

We love history and we decided to try the tavern even though we were pressed for time. The squash and family soups were delicious as was the chicken pot pie. The costumed gentleman at the entrance of the restaurant were a nice addition.

Didn't want to take the time for a big meal, but still wanted to experience the tavern atmosphere, so we focused on dessert. Ordered the pumpkin pie and apple pan dowdy which my wife and I shared. Excellent food, great surroundings...glad we made the stop. The items on the menu looked great, so we'll come back again for a full... More

Came for lunch and ordered the family soup that my husband & I shared. Rich beef veggie with big chunks of fresh carrots potatoes & celery along with tender chunks of beef. Yummy. An assortment of breads came out with fresh whipped butter and jam. 2 small sweet corn muffins, 2 small cranberry muffins and rolls all melted in your... More

We enjoyed the atmosphere and aurhentic decor and period attire of the wait staff. Me sister and brother enjoyed their vegetables and pasta. Our friend had the broiled trout which she raved about, delicately seasoned and well prepared. I was disappointed in my chicken pie as there was only ONE small piece of chicken! REALLY!? The crust, the "gravy" and... More

What's great about this restaurant, located in Greenfield Village, is that it gives you the classic view and ambience as if you have stepped back in time without all of the disease and poor hygiene if you had really gone back. The food is good and the conversation on history is great. I would definitely go back in the future.

Authentic 1800's style eats and sleep road house. Located in the Greenfield Village, it is EXACTLY how they lived back then (except for paying with a credit card). We had the chicken soup and beer. It comes with bread and veggies. The servers are dressed and act just as in the 1800's. Great education for all ages.
