Lunch

Great place to experience the past with atmosphere, food, and staff dressed in the style of the day. The food was very tasty and our group just enjoyed the decor of the time.

We were tipped off by one of the craftsmen at Greenfield Village that this was The place to have lunch and we were not disappointed. + authentic 1850s meal prepared using recipes from that period + authentically dressed servers + delicious meal + very reasonably priced Tip: we arrived just prior to noon on a Sunday and did not have... If nit for anything else, this tavern is worth a visit for at least an atmosphere and a bottle of an exclusive Old Liz amber ale brewed for the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village. Good place to stop by amidst a day long visit to the village.

Best value of any food establishment at the Henry Ford. Authentic menu from the mid 1800 hundreds, with servers dressed in period costume.

A step back in time with a 'authentic' early American venue, staff and food offerings. Recommended when visiting the Village

You have stepped back in time at this inn of Greenfield Village. Friendly staffers in period costume are very attentive and serve a variety of authentic old-world dishes, including Bubble-n-Squeak. I was so impressed with this dish, the helpful staff located the recipe for me to take home and try. It was delish!

This restaurant is in Greenfield Village and is themed from that era to match. The food was good and fresh. The staff was definitely friendly. Some of them were truly "in character", which made it a little more fun as well. The menu is probably rather authentic to the 1800s, which means it is also rather limited. However, all 6... More

My daughter and I have a standing date every year on opening day of Greenfield Village, which includes lunch at Eagle Tavern. This time as usual the food an service were great but you could tell they were not prepared for the amount of business they received. We waited a half hour to be seated, then and hour and a... More

It was a trip back 200 years to dining at a stagecoach stop in both atmosphere and food. The inn is being renovated more over the winter so it will be even more spectacular when it opens April 15th.

Located in historic Greenfield Village, this tavern is really a throwback to the days of yore. Being a season pass holder at the Village, I go at least three times a year and will always eat at the Eagle Tavern. You'll be seated with others at large tables and really, that's part of the charm. The food is often sourced... More
