While spending the day at Greenfield Village we were looking for something to eat for lunch. We were very pleasantly surprised about our wonderful experience at Eagle Tavern. The entire restaurant makes you feel like you're back in the 1800s. The room lit only by candlelight which can actually make it hard to see your food but still is charming.... More

I love this place. All the staff is acting in period and dressed in period from the 1800's. The menu changed throughout the year and each new menu is in the style of food from the era. Once in a while they have a recipe that is kinda meh, but all in all this place is great. The bread basket... More

This is not your ordinary lunch. We enjoyed the experience very much! The service was great, the food (as promised) took us back in time and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Super atmosphere, interesting food, great service. But....the gentlemen at the door in period costume with so much wit and charm are definitely the highlight.

Service was quick, portion was generous and the quiet, relaxed atmosphere was a nice break from the hectic Greenfield Village. After walking nearly 3/4 of the Village, we just wanted a place to sit and relax and be waited on. All types and prices of foods, the chicken salad was excellent and served with breads and crackers on a pile... More

Walking around the village for hours..you get hungry. Stop by the Eagle Tavern, and step back even farther into history than you already are! The food that is prepared are recipes from 1800's era cookbooks. There are no "separate" tables, meaning you and your party could end up sitting with strangers, but that's what makes it so interesting. Everything is... More

The Eagle Tavern is located in the Greenfield Village at The Henry, and was our first stop during a recent visit. The food is very good, but the dining experience here is what elevates this establishment to a higher level. The staff all dress the part of early settlers, and even act the part in a non-hokey way. Guests sit... More

This venue is part of the Henry (aka Greenfield Village) and is worth a time out to sit and experience. You are transported (not literally) back to the 1800's were things were simpler. You are a traveler at a busy stage coach stop were you will be "staying for a while". The atmosphere is fun, the staff is friendly and... More

Although this was more expensive than other places in Greenfield Village, we enjoyed the atmosphere of the tavern. The food was plentiful and very tasty. The set-up of this tavern was long tables; another couple was seated at the other end of our table. The servers were very attentive.

Nestled in historic Greenfield Village and more than 175 years old, is the Eagle Tavern serving up an 1800's dining experience. All of the staff are dressed in clothing of the period. You're seated at a communal tables, exactly the way it would have been. You're given a Bill of Fare (menu) that consists of a small selection of reasonably... More
