This venue is part of the Henry (aka Greenfield Village) and is worth a time out to sit and experience. You are transported (not literally) back to the 1800's were things were simpler. You are a traveler at a busy stage coach stop were you will be "staying for a while". The atmosphere is fun, the staff is friendly and... More

Although this was more expensive than other places in Greenfield Village, we enjoyed the atmosphere of the tavern. The food was plentiful and very tasty. The set-up of this tavern was long tables; another couple was seated at the other end of our table. The servers were very attentive.

Nestled in historic Greenfield Village and more than 175 years old, is the Eagle Tavern serving up an 1800's dining experience. All of the staff are dressed in clothing of the period. You're seated at a communal tables, exactly the way it would have been. You're given a Bill of Fare (menu) that consists of a small selection of reasonably... More

Keep in mind to eat here you must purchase entrance to village but if you are touring there this is a good option for a sit down meal. It is a unique experience with good food with a historic theme. Although it is period food, you have to realize that period food is comfort food. Plenty of meat and potatoes.

There were about 5000 kids running around the day we were there. We asked one of the workers if there was a place where we could sit down inside for lunch. She recommend two places and said that the Eagle Tavern was the best. The food was excellent and we enjoyed a quiet respite from the sunshine and the 5000... More

the Eagle Tavern has been a tradition in my family for decades. I've never had a bad meal there and the service has always been wonderful. Their Bishop's Bread is so good too.

This is a great place to eat when you are at Greenfield Village. Not including their amazing Special Events (Hallo'ween, Holiday Nights, etc) their menu has some great seasonal offerings. Comparatively speaking, this is not an expensive venture and the portions are generous, but it may become expensive if you have children and/or friends with you and everyone wants their... More

The food is prepared from locally grown crops and recipes are from the 1800's. everything was delicious. My husband has the stew and I had the white bean soup, asparagus salad and we shared the Vinegar Pie for dessert. highly recommend.
