Good food bad service

I am giving Al Ameer three stars rating because every time I dine there I get an issue with the waitresses and servers. Sometime they are uneducated, sometimes un-respectful, and sometimes grumpy. Defiantly they need to think about choosing the FACE of the diner. Food is nice must of the time... read more

I ordered the chicken gallaba. I've had it at multiple Middle Eastern restaurants, not sure what they served me, but it was terrible. Couldn't eat it. My boyfriend had the Sojuk. He really enjoyed it. Fattoush salad dressing sucks. We ordered some garlic sauce before we even ordered our appetizer and dinner, it came after our dinner was served. We... More

This a is a must go to restaurant. They offer so much food for cheap too. They don't have dedicated special menu but u don't need specials to save money here. The bread was fresh and made in house. The hummus tasted like how we use to make it when I was a kid. I couldn't stop eating it. The... More

I eat there sometimes but I just found out that the food isn't halal. My friend saw Wigley's meat from eastern market drop off meat there. If you eat only halal meat like me don't eat there. It's not HALAL!!!!!

This was our first visit but we will be back. Great atmosphere, food and service. I had the hummus topped with grilled lamb chunks. The lamb was tender with good flavor. The hummas was smooth and tasty. My wife had stuffed lamb over rice and loved it. Our friend had chicken livers which were so good. Our server was both... More

I thought the food overall was good, but maybe it was better because it was free and paid for by our supplier? I got the chicken shwarma, remember it being lean, white meat. The sample platter (think it was on the menu or maybe it was a special request) was huge and gave a great sampling of different kinds of... More

We ate lunch here before going to visit the Arab American museum. Oh my gosh, the food was outstanding! Best hummus I've ever had. I ordered arayes and Tim and beef shish kebob. My first time trying arayes; it's delicious. Our server was friendly and courteous. Hummus is so good we ordered some to take home. We will definitely be... More

I was lucky enough to make it back from Detroit before this restaurant closed. It was easy enough since they stay open until 11:00 pm every night. I had a good hot meal with humus and soup. There are a number of outstanding Arabic restaurants and bakeries in this area. I will always feel special about this one because they... More
