A trip to the Detroit area is not complete without a stop at Al Ameer on Warren Ave in Dearborn! Be sure to enjoy the baba ghanoush, the fatoosh salad, and the tawook chicken. The garlic dip is a must for garlic lovers! Warm, fresh pita bread and pleasant service keeps me returning on each visit back to the Detroit... More

My wife and I had dinner here on a recent Friday night. We went relatively early and was immediately seated. Décor is like a diner but very comfortable. We were not sure what to order so we asked our server, he was very helpful. We had appetizers, will not try and spell that were very good. I had chicken skewers... More

Busy lunch service on a Friday, but staff is so efficient we were seated right away. Tabbouleh was so fresh, and I always enjoy a good falafel - these did not disappoint. Eating companion made a smart move in choosing lamb shish kabob entree - my bite of it was tender, just perfectly done. Came with a side of hummous... More

If you want great Arab food like your grandma made come to Al Ameer. You will not be disappointed. We had Moe for a server. He is very good, our glasses never got half empty. He deliver more bread, before we could ask.

Having had great luck with prior Trip Advisor restaurant recommendations, I decided to give this restaurant a try. It was a hugely disappointing experience for me and was made worse by the fact that my husband and I brought another couple with us who had no prior exposure to Middle Eastern food. There are many, many far better Middle Eastern... More

This restaurant was recommended as the best middle eastern restaurant by a local. I was attending a conference in Dearborn and was new to the city but Al Ameer was easy to find. My friend and I were seated immediately and our server was there almost as quickly to take our orders. The baba Ganouj with little pitas was wonderful.... More

We celebrated my sister's graduation with family and friends. Nice food, but the waitresses were not friendly. They serve a delicious variety of lebanese food, but they are in a bad mood.

Was in town on a business trip and took a coworker who had never tried Middle Eastern food before. Based on the reviews here I was hoping our server would take a little extra time with her explaining some of the food options, but he seemed to be in quite a hurry (even though the restaurant was not super crowded)... I have never been a huge fan of Middle Eastern Cuisine until my boss took me here. Every single thing was super high quality. Bread was warm from the oven, salads all fresh. Lamb melted in your mouth. Chicken was superb. Service was very friendly and helpful when choosing a meal. I would highly recommend the combo family meals -... More

Al-Ameer is appropriately rated by previous Tripadvisor reviewers as the #1 Middle East restaurant in Dearborn, home to more Arabs than anywhere outside of the Middle East. I ordered the combo platter, which included shish kabob, tawook, kafta, falafel, hommous, a salad, delicious rice, and pita bread, all for $17.95, easily enough food for two meals. My waiter was both... More
