One of My Local Favorites

Great food at very reasonable prices. We always order the deboned chicken which comes with soup or salad, rice or fries. The meal is easily enough for two people. The fresh squeezed juice combinations are also fantastic. Warm, quick, professional service.

I've been eating here for years and can't believe that I haven't written about it yet. I have lived in the Dearborn area for years and visited many, many Middle Eastern restaurants. This is, by far, my favorite one. All the food is good - from kafta, to schwarma, baked kibbee, fattoush, lamb chops - I don't think that neither... More

The salads were nice, but other appetizers like the hummus and falafel weren't that great. The stuffed lamb and mixed grill platter were very tasty. However, I did not like the fact that all the food came at once (salads, appetizers, and main courses) and the staff weren't always around when we needed something.

The place is simple but food extraordinary. From appetizer to dessert all very delicious, fresh and 100 % Mediterranean flavor. We had both lunch and dinner in different days and always found the place to be family friendly welcoming you with smiles.

Four of us went there recently. We had the hummus, beef grape leaves, lamb shwarma, lentil soup, tibooleh salad, and a chicken salad. All of it was outstanding, with the hummus and shwarma especially good (some of the best humus I've ever had and I;ve had a lot). Service was very, very good, attentive, glad to offer favorites and "best... More

This is some really excellent Levantine Arab food. I had the beef shawarma plate, which was beautifully cooked, and the hummus, which was excellent. (I'm hard to satisfy when it comes to hummus, I have to admit.) Prices are a bit high, but the food here is authentic and tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you're in or near Dearborn.

This is the 2nd visit here to Al Ameer. The first time I took my cousin from Indiana who never had Mid-Eastern food. We had platter for 2, think it was the Al Ameer special for 2, could have fed 3! Took leftovers home. He was impressed. The next time was last week with some co-workers. We had a great... More

Not perfect but excellent hummus. Meat was dry - over cooked. Warm breads were good. Server was nice and made a recommendation for a local bakery which was excellent.

After a long drive on a snowy night we pulled into Deerborn and just wanted a local restaurant. Al Ameer turned out to be a wonderful choice. The service is pleasant and friendly and the food is great. We had a variety of grilled meats and salads. Everything tasted fresh and seasoned well. It is also shockingly inexpensive. I would...
