Food is good but expensive

The new owners just took over Johnny V's. While the food is excellent ....they have raised the already high prices to a level that will cause me not to return. A takeout for two was a 50.00 bill and we did not order meals. It was strictly some ribs and wings....way more than it should have been. If... read more

Well done - in every sense of the phrase. The smoked meats were tender and juicy. The owner's introduction of himself and his specialties was helpful and enjoyable, especially the burnt ends! The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed, and family-friendly. We were behind a couple of large orders, so our food took a little longer to arrive. Normally not... More

We wanted to try a new place after watching an early show in Owosso. We found Johnny V's in nearby Corrunna and stopped in around 4pm for a light supper. We were the only customers when we arrived. We tried sandwiches. My wife said the grilled cheese was great and the tomato dip made it even better. I had the... More

We were going to be in this area so I began to look for a restaurant to visit. I found this restaurant on google maps. What a great surprise. Great BBQ, and great service. If and when I am anywhere near here I will definitely stop!!!

I try to visit Smokin Johnny's at least once everytime I'm in the area. The prices average $10 a TRAY (not plate) but you're paying for quality AND quantity in one visit!

Seems like I hit this place up every week. My fiance loves the place, even though (believe it or not) she's a vegetarian. This isn't exactly Cheers where they know my name, but I go back because of the great food and drinks. Without a doubt my favorite place around and really hope to see them grow and expand. Try... We were going out for dinner on my last night of vacation, but after a long day spent at the Ann Arbor VS we were tired and decided to stay close to home. We decided to try Smokin Johnny V 's well the wait staff sucks not knowing what alcohol they have, beer lists printed off of a computer and... More

Very sorry about your experience. I actually came out to talk to you due to the fact that your server was smart enough to come get me knowing you were not happy that we didn't carry French dressing or the beer you requested. I wanted to make things right with you. Hopefully you'll give us a second chance. You can... More

I had a good steak and mashed potatoes, but the restaurant was so noisy that I could not talk with the person I was with. This was partially caused by the echoes from all the hard surfaces, but also by a noisy, boisterous, and drunk group at the next table. Would be willing to try it again; maybe lunchtime would...
