ALWAYS DELIVERS!

This was my second visit to Due Venti. From staff to soup - this place is CLASS. The menu is small but delicious, and focused. The waiters know their stuff. The main fare is surrounded by special sides that truly expand the experience. The patio is lovely, and even though its in front, it's... read more

Our food was delicious and our waiter was attentive. The food here has a few subtle twists that you wouldn't get at a traditional Italian place like Andiamo's for a similar price. Will be back.

From appetizer (sauteed calamari with super fresh ingredients) through salads and entrees, Due Venti was a delight. Imported gorgonzola and garden-fresh greens made the house salad an amazing choice. We had the Italian influenced NY Strip, and a fettuccini with sausage that left us with smiles. Servers were among the best I've encountered in Metro Detroit. Glad we found this... More

Having breakfast frequently at Fritatta, we looked at Due Venti's building a number of times and said, maybe we should try this place some day. Finally Sylvia Rector's Detroit Free Press article about Due Venti's stuffed figs ended our procrastination. Dinner at Due Venti is not just a meal out. It's a dining experience. Our waiter, Andrew, that first night,... More

Gem of a small quiet restaurant with exceptional food & service. Our starters set the tone: a do-not-miss white anchovy plate, tasty fagioli toscana (white bean spread on interesting Umbrian bread), and an excellent calamari. We enjoyed our arctic char (the beets elevated the flavor), and a wonderful fettucine con salsiccia (pork, sausage, and red pesto). Dessert of chocolate with... More

We've been visiting Due Venti for several years now and with one unusual exception the experience always has been excellent. This New Year's was another fine time. I had once again the rabbit ragout... highly recommended. Service was prompt without being intrusive and overall table management seemed well in hand on this busy evening. Note that it is sometime possible... More

A last minute search after a movie. Due Venti serves until 11 PM. Seasonal fare from Northern Italy, family recipes prepared by Chef Nicole. Fantastic service, and extraordinary dishes. The Artcic Char accompanied with apples and smoked beets, served only a few weeks a year is an absolute must. Desserts are divine and welcome since the portions are more European than... More

Enjoyed a great meal last evening with a friend. I love taking people here. They are always surprised by this gem. Impeccable service. Fantastic trout. Light as feather gnocchi and outstanding butternut squash soup. A perfect evening; a perfect meal.

Where do I begin? I was recently asked about what a stellar dining experience is in my estimation. My immediate response was any dinner I've had at Due Venti. To begin with, the food is so sublime, the flavors so well developed and complimentary, and so well considered, that the only word that adequately describes it is soigné. But the... More
