Ate here with my brother in law while in the area for a Detroit Pistons game. We decided to check out the Union after seeing it on Diners, Drive ins and Dives as it was only about 10 mins down the Interstate from The Palace at Auburn Hills where the Pistons play. The building maintains the church exterior and interior... More

Interesting food choices. A different twist on Reuben, Turkey, Italian, etc. Our table had 3 different dishes (Turkey, Panito.. Italian sub, and my brother had some kind of chick salad), all were tasty. A ton of draft beer choices with interesting names. Be aware though, you cannot tell if it's a pale ale, dark, etc and the wait staff didn't... More

We do not consider our trip to visit our family complete until we have visited the Union!! Things we enjoy are: set in an old church, tons of beer choices, vibrant atmosphere, and of course, the mac & cheese dish!!!!

Probably best to stick with the things they are famous for, like their mac & cheese. I did not give them a higher rating because I had potatoes as a side and they were soggy and had obviously been sitting for a while. The sausage sandwich I had was pretty good, but was skimpy on the onions. Also they really... More

A great family place (recently added outdoor seating also). Great service, GREAT food. The BEST is their Mac and Cheese, which is to die for! The day we went, one of the specials was . . . . drum roll please . . . Lobster Mac and Cheese! Need we say more? Large selection of beers from around the world,... More

Hey, I love this place. Food is great, atmosphere is stellar. Not a family place past 8pm but nothing outrageous. I chafe traveled far and wide but can not find a better mac and chess. order it. You'll see. My only criticism is the staff. Most of them have been there long enough to forget their manners. They can be... More

Great place to meet up with friends for Sunday Brunch! The Plowshare is always a good choice along with a mimosa with fresh squeezed orange juice.

A tad pricy and the acoustics prevent any normal conversation, but it's an OK place to meet and enjoy a meal with someone. A word of caution, however, if you are new to Michigan have your friend drive. You're not going to want to take your car on Michigan roads. OMG, the potholes will destroy not only your tires, suspension... More
