Well worth exiting from US 127!

We parked on Main St, planning to eat at another restaurant when we saw the sandwich board sign for Mulberry Cafe. We were intrigued so took the block east walk to the cafe. We are so glad we did! Beautiful lunches for each of us and some of the most attentive, friendly staff. The historic setting... read more

I've always had excellent service and very good food. Food is not typical "up north family" fare that is common. its a little more "sophisticated" up north fare. Tastier, more unusual, a little more expensive, and smaller portions but very good! Great homemade soups, sandwiches and pies. Love the atmosphere. Have eaten here often - live 20 miles away.

Great food, very good tasting sandwiches. The homemade pie is awesome. A little more expensive that usual for the portion size. The staff and services has always been awesome!

A friend and I visited the Mulberry Cafe for lunch. Our salads were perfect. We chatted for a long time. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. There is also a gift shop to check out while you are there.

Well, after reading the reviews we decided to stop. Walked in the sign said to "Wait to be Seated". We we were told to sit anywhere. That was the ONLY contact anyone in the resturaurant had with us! We waited & waited, were not even acknowledged by staff! After close to 10 minuets we got up & left. We had... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant for breakfast based on it's reviews. The first impression was a small, quaint establishment. The breakfast menu was simple. It basically consisted of a couple types of omelets, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. The coffee was mediocre and it was hard to get a refill. We were always waiting for "the pot to... More

Enjoyed my lunch... But especially enjoyed the Buttermilk pie. Who knew.... It was really light and creamy. Cute gift shop. More trips to Clare equal more visits to the Mulberry Cafe and more shopping at Jerrick House.

I go to the Mulberry Cafe all the time for lunch! They have new specials everyday so there's always something new to try. Their food is fresh and very high quality. Although I haven't found anything I don't like yet, these are my top recommendations: Razzmatazz Chicken Panini, Southwest Salad, Biscuits and Gravy, Vanilla Chai Tea, Vanilla Cherry Pie. If... What a wonderful surprise and experience. Out on a furniture shopping trip with mom, sis and aunt and asked a local where's a good spot for lunch. This place was recommended. A cozy establishment with nifty decor. All the dinnerware is mismatched allowing you to choose which setting at the table is your favorite. Three of us had spinach quiche... More

I found this restaurant on TA (thanks!) and completely agree with the reviews. It's a breakfast and lunch place, and we ate lunch. The chicken noodle soup was one of the best I've ever had... homemade flavor and real dumplings... yum! Sandwiches were made on fresh bread. Excellent reubens. The buttermilk pie tasted like creme brule... simply superb. Plus the... More
