We sat in the lounge area and really enjoyed our food. I had walleye and my husband had a steak and they were both delicious. And the service was really good also. We really liked the atmosphere in the lounge area too. It was more casual than the dining area. The restaurant gets quite busy so come early or make... More

We were on our way to Bellaire to eat at Lulu's and saw the Blue Pelican which used to be the Lamplighter. We decided to stop for dinner. We ate outside on the deck and the weather was one of those perfect evenings. They have a full bar and wine, and mojitos were the start. The salads were wonderful. I... More

Wonderful food. Nice to eat on the porch at the end of a busy day. If there is live music, ask for a table away from the singer if you want to have a dinner conversation.

My wife and I and her 89 year old mother stopped in again in July 2014. The food was much better than our last experience. I had the Crab Boil and it was pretty good. We called ahead for a reservation and left a message per their recorded instructions, but received no call back to confirm. Drove about 35 minutes... More

Dinner on the open air patio at this bed & breakfast, restaurant and bar this evening. Absolutely great as the Chef combines northern Michigan flavor a with the owners southern heritage. The fried grit cakes are an absolute must try! Blackened walleye also a very good dish. Wonderful atmosphere.

We recently visited the Torch Lake area and had a nice dinner on the porch of the inn. The food was very good and although we were "stuffed" we both got dessert. The service was excellant and we will definitely return on our next visit.

The Blue Pelican Inn has provided our family and friends the best food in the area. Their offering of crab-legs and a seafood bucket, along with a variety of fish and steaks makes this THE DESTINATION for us when we want to enjoy a great meal. The restaurant is located in Central Lake (maybe 10-15 miles north of Bellaire) but... More

Food was delicious, service very professional and attentive. Good portions so that I was too full for dessert, so next night I ordered dessert first, then meal. Looking forward to eating here again.

I've had the steak and the pulled pork. They were both fantastic. The entire meal was great side dishes and salad are all good. It's nice to know i can count on this place for a great meal when I'm up north.

Traveled to Central Lake for a quick dinner on a weeknight. We were dismayed to learn that they were out of whitefish (had that experience at another place, too). However, we did land there on their $5 basket night. You could have a burger, puller pork or grilled chicken sandwich, plus fries for $5. How can you beat that?! The... More
