Description: The Blue Heron serves an excellent breakfast and lunch in large...
The Blue Heron serves an excellent breakfast and lunch in large proportions; they are not open for dinner. Food is always fresh and unique. Daily lunches include a choice of 2 homemade soups w/complimentary homemade sourdough bread and a variety of sandwiches on homemade sourdough bread or wraps. Salads are always freshly made and filled with fruit, vegetables, and/or meat with tasty dressings. Two baker's display cases are filled each morning with fresh cookies, fried cakes, muffins, bagels, pies, cakes, and a large variety of sweet rolls, baked on site. Customers congregate there for coffee and a choice of doughnut or cookie. Their breakfasts are hearty and delicious. The owner is the cook, and it is a treat to find such a high quality restaurant in this small tourist town.

Nature lovers salad addict

Met with a friend for lunch to get our nature lovers salad. I'm addicted to it! My all time favorite! All of their sandwiches and cookies are wonderful as well!

Took the motorcycle out for lunch at this nice spot in Cadillac. The cuban sandwich I had was excellent as was my wife's Michigan Ham and Cheese. I also had to try a cup of their ham and been soup which had a generous helping of ham. To top it all off the coffee was very tasty. We will definitely... More

Great and original salads and sandwiches! Really enjoyed their homemade bread and cookies and they have some truly tasty and enjoyable dishes that you will find nowhere else in Cadillac. Try to beat the lunch crowd because they fill up fast, and for good reasons!

I've never been to Cadillac and we wanted lunch before going to Sleeping Bear Dunes. I searched Trip Advisor and found this little gem. It's a fairly limited menu, but everything is interesting, fresh and very good quality. Our server was excellent. Knowledgeable and very friendly. I would definitely go back.

We knew we had made a good lunch choice when we walked in to discover a room full of locals. Had the soup (black bean) and sandwich wraps. Service was fast, efficient, cheerful. Had pastries for dessert. Attractive interior, tin ceiling, booths.
