Again, this is a little drive unless you happen to live in the down but a drive in MI is always pleasant! This is a medium size "family" restaurant but with an extensive menu, GREAT BBQ and a small, but quality wine list that is affordable. They do take reservations and if you're not there early for dinner, you may... More

Stopped here in a Friday evening. Sat immediately even though they were slammed! Had a huge beer selection to chose from. The food was fantastic! Definitely recommended!!!

I've eaten here three different times per different family members who were visiting us request (none have ever requested to go twice). I'm disappointed every time. Tonight was the worst by far. The only steak option is a $20 sirloin, it's small, but thick. I asked for it medium rare, and it was. But it was extremely tough and chewy,... More

Menu has an excellent variety and everything we tried was great. Absolutely no complaints about service. Would definitely come back.

We went to Wheatberry's based on the suggestion of our hotel. It was a find little family place. We ordered our meals and a drink. They put us next to the hostess station which wasn't a great spot because it was cramped, but we didn't complain. It was just dinner and it was a family place. We ordered the brisket... More

A friend and I stopped at Wheatberry for dinner. We both had the pork barbecue sandwich and it was fabulous. It came with cornbread, which was the best I have ever tasted, french fries and coleslaw. A generous portion caused me to skip the bun and just eat the pork. Extra sauce readily available at the table... a wonderful meal.

Like an earlier reviewer, we vacation in the area and the Wheatberry Restaurant is on our list of good places to eat. My dinner companions ordered the ribs, I tried one and agreed with them that they were too burnt and dry. This was a bad batch, I believe, because I have had their ribs in the past and they... More

We make a plan to come here every year when vacationing in MI. It's 40 minutes away from where we stay, but I love the food so much and it's different than your typical touristy stuff. The Corn Bread is amazing. You get it as soon as you sit down, and they're pretty good at giving you more. Ask about... More

A group of 4 women went there for dinner last night. We ate ribs, pulled pork and brisket. All of us enjoyed our meal. The meals came with 2 sides and warm corn bread was delivered to our table when we sat down. The service was very good. Our only issue was bugs. We chose to eat outside and were... More

This place was fantastic. I had a full rack of baby back ribs and garlic fries and cole slaw. Ribs were not fall off the bone tender but the taste was fantastic. No additional BBQ sauce was needed. Fries and slaw were great also. Wife had New Orleans jumbo shrimp on risotto & spinach. Unbelievable taste. For desert we had... More
