A group of 4 women went there for dinner last night. We ate ribs, pulled pork and brisket. All of us enjoyed our meal. The meals came with 2 sides and warm corn bread was delivered to our table when we sat down. The service was very good. Our only issue was bugs. We chose to eat outside and were... More

This place was fantastic. I had a full rack of baby back ribs and garlic fries and cole slaw. Ribs were not fall off the bone tender but the taste was fantastic. No additional BBQ sauce was needed. Fries and slaw were great also. Wife had New Orleans jumbo shrimp on risotto & spinach. Unbelievable taste. For desert we had... More

Love the atmosphere here. Great hidden away spot where you can take the family. We are always impressed with the food here as well as the service. This again is a place where you should come early because they fill up quick. :) All in All Great Spot!!

I've always enjoyed this restaurant. Nothing is that great but its the overall experience. Probably has something on the menu for just about everyone. I try to eat healthy foods and that's not always possible in the obesity belt but you can find healthy options on their menu. Also, they have a nice selection of draft beers and a sampler.... More

We tried this place based on a colleague's recommendation. We have been to lots of rib joints, so had a lot to compare it to. We ordered the St. Louis ribs, which were on special and the brisket sandwich, clam chowder, and a salad. Although the side salad was small, but tasty, I would have never ordered it had I... More

This was our first time visiting and we will be back. The barbecue was good. The menu was huge, and the service was very welcoming. This is off the beaten path and worth trying.

Friends recommended The Wheatberry years ago and we sorta forgot about it. We were out at another place recently and The Wheatberry came up in conversation, so we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was very good and fast. The atmosphere was laid back casual. It was a pretty hot day outside and the... More

Went to Wheatberry's because it was literally the only real restaurant in Buchanan. Friendly greeter, attentive wait staff. The good was very good with good portions and pricing. Have been back several times and have always been pleased.

Home style Louisiana recipes and BBQ, some Mexican and fish, and more. Very casual. Great service. Fast. Shrimp and grits were comfort-food yum! Had chipolte chicken. Husband had BBQ. We were very pleased with the flavors and will go back. Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie is to die for.
