We used to enjoy going here, but it seems the quality of food and cleanliness has dropped in recent months. We have heard the same from numerous neighbors. I feel they need to step it up in an effort to gain back old customers.

Great little historic place with excellent food. BBQ was very good, smoked chicken wing appetizer a must, good beer selection. Service was above average.

We have had three separate sub par meals in the last two months. after the last dinner we are swearing off the Tavern unless it improves the quality of the food. At the first lunch, we had the smoked salmon BLT. It had very little smoke flavor to the salmon and it was pieced together rather than a fillet. The... More

My husband and I brought his folks here for dinner on Friday, 4/11. The staff are a wonderful group of people, a lot of them kids just working their summers away at this golf course setting-- our server was very friendly and also knowledgeable about the menu. My mother-in-law and I each had the fish fry (cod with fries and... More

Don't set your expectations to high when going there, the food is just okay and the service stands to be improved. I am glad the new owners saved this restaurant, but its out of the way location does not do itself any favors.

He then recommended the perch which was on special so we both ordered it. When it came It was burned on the bottom side & served with skinny over... More

Don't waste your time on this horrible food. Our food was cold, and undercooked. The dining area where we ate was not clean and out of date.

Had lunch here on January 1 and were possibly the first customers of the day (12:30 pm). The whole restaurant was extremely cold (old building; 12 degrees outside) but it made it unpleasant. Waitress looked liked she had been there all night - come to find out the restaurant had been open until 4:00 am for New Year's Eve and... More

Like introducing a new car, this restaurant a flaws and has worked hard to repair their problems. They have a new female chef Julie who has taken that restaurant to new levels. Laura the manager has gone to great lengths to perfect service. Give them another try you won't be disappointed!

Having enjoyed a lunch buffet at Burroughs for our group before, the recent visit was a disappointment in comparison. The price was up but the food selection and presentation was poor. It appeared that we weren't expected and the food selection certainly didn't stand up to the price increase. We're a group that meets monthly for lunch and several attendees... More
