We had a wonderful Japanese chef who cooked our food at the table. He was fabulous. We all enjoyed our meals and had an amazing variety cooked to perfection...everything from lobster and scallops to shrimp and beef. And we all went home with a generous serving in our "doggie boxes". My husband, who didn't go got the pleasure of my... More

This is a fun place for a celebration or group. The chef cooking our dinner was very entertaining and friendly. He put on quite a show. We had a lot of laughs catching morsels of meat in our mouths as they were flung at us off a spatula by our talented chef. He paid special attention to the youngest lady... More

Sagano has a pineapple/chicken fried rice that is out of this world! In the back they have the Japanese chef tables where you sit around the cook surface and have your own chef put on a show while preparing your food - it is really fun for a group or birthday.

They have a special with sushi rolls and the Key West was incredible and a great value. The Poopoo platter was good, a bit overcooked on the chicken skewers, the tuna was wonderful. I ordered medium rare and it came medium so take it back if you want medium rare, order rare. Service was good. Lots of food for the... More

I had a company function here this week - we had 3 full grills going. The staff here was excellent, they were able to serve almost 30 people at the same time without a hiccup. The food was great and almost everyone left with a very large doggy bad. The. Owning after, everyone was still talking about the great time... More

Today I would have to give the place a very low grade. New chef, burnt food, wrong drink, no shrimp - must I go on. I was disappointed on this trip. The and service is usually pretty good but not today. All the steaks were over cooked, I ordered extra chicken but didn't get extra. I don't know how to... More

Loud noises, fire right in your face, chefs trying to throw food in your mouth, these all sound fun to the average person, and my toddler and I had a blast! However, if you decide to go to family dinner, ensure that your teenage brother isn't totally "tripping balls". Our chef started out with the usual big burst of flames... More

Our last evening in Michigan so lets have a special meal at Sagano. It was a Monday evening, Aug 9th at 8:00pm and we were the only customers. We sat through the usual crash bang of food preparation which was average only. We were still finishing our bottle of wine at 9:15pm when the manageress approached and asked us to... More

The food was good...and plentiful. But the best part was the entertainment. Our chef was hilarious and added to the experience! The prices are high but well worth the cost.

It is hard to find a place that will accommodate my daughters Shellfish Allergy but from the moment we walked in the door to the end of our meal we never had a concern that we would be running her to the ER that night. The staff took every precaution the could to give everyone a wonderful and safe meal.... More
