Excellent comfort food for a snowy day

Had the tomato soup with a jazzed up grilled cheese. So yummy for a blah winter day! Always an outstanding food experience!!

Highly recommended! Cool little market that offers delicious gourmet sandwiches and soups, yummy pizza, handcut steaks, artisanal cheeses, handmade bagels & scones & a really nice selection of different beer & wine. This market reminds me of the markets in NYC

The sandwiches are great and a little different. Great selection of wines. Some outdoor tables for summer lunches.

Great sandwich selection. Pickles are huge and tasty. Wonderful cracker selection. Everything you need for a winter picnic! Friendly staff and customers.

This place defies categories. They do many things and one thing is clear, they do everything exceptionally well. We often get sandwiches to take back to the marina and eat on the oat during the summer. (The best sandwiches in Northern Michigan -- GIRLS PLAY HOCKEY is my personal favorite -- all their sandwiches have unique and quirky names, which... More

This place is not a restaurant. Its a deli - fancy foods store. Don't get me wrong the food was good. But it is not a restaurant.

Hi Brian, thanks for taking the time to post a review. You are right that Lake Street Market is not a restaurant. We have never claimed otherwise, but unfortunately Trip Advisor seems to have no other category for places like ours--and in fact we were never asked what category we should be in. If you serve prepared food ready to... More

Try the homemade mac and cheese. Sandwiches made to order. Quality fresh ingredients but a little expensive.

You need to get there first thing when the open to have your choice of scones and pecan bars. They go great with the shetlers milk they sell. My fav sandwich there is the hazardous waist, all sandwiches a funky names. You can also build your own. If they have the anxious Paul get one, they are great with the... More

Lake St. Market is the beat sandwich place in northern Michigan. I always get the Big Canoe and have had quite a few others as well. The sea salt chips go great with any sandwich. Get there early if you are looking for lunch. This place is very popular and if you get food there once, you will know why!
