This is a lively attractive place. The bar is separate and seems to draw a crowd. The seafood here is simple but high quality. They display nice pieces of salmon, tuna, swordfish, cod. They are cooked simply but the quality is excellent. Their oysters are also very good. The vegetables were nothing special. Orders come with mashed red skin potatoes... More

I wanted Italian but my husband recommended Mitchell's since he had been before. The salad was an unusual blend of flavors - delicious. The bread hot and crisp. Another hit. We ordered the halibut by recommendation of our server Brittany. She suggested pan seared but we got planked with asparagus, sin dried tomato etc. It was not hot yet overcooked.... More

great energy in this place! The restaurant was packed so we decided to go onto the other side in the bar area! Server was not on what so ever and needed help! Drinks took a while! We sat at the same time as another couple and the received their drinks within minutes of server being at their table! DF Calamari... More

This restaurant has an upscale corporate feel. They do an excellent job with their fish, with a wide range of preparations. You can customize your dish and the results are delicious. Service was spot on. Salads were well done. Food is flavorful and the fish fresh and done to order. We would go back happily.

My first time at Mitchell's by a coworker recommendation and was everything I heard about. Lobster bisque was delicious, our server was very attentive and acknowledged, he described the dishes very well. My swordfish was grilled to perfection and my citrus mojito was very refreshing. Great place, love the ambiance. Definitely we will be coming back soon.

Took some pretty picky eaters here for dinner, and it was worth it. Excellent Lobster meals that don't disappoint. Appetizers were awesome. Many fish options to choose from. Excellent Service.

I've been here quite a few times, usually great. Tonight the service was so poor I should have left. I got my own cocktails from the bartender, ordering dinner was a quite a chore. I was very disappointed, specially cause the place is empty. Food was as good as always, hope you get a better waitress!

Fourth of July found me in New Orleans. Being a poultry and seafood eater for 30 years...no thank you to red meat or pork, I was in seafood heaven. Upon returning to Detroit, I was craving more seafood. Every Sun on my way to my mani, I pass Mitchell's and remembered how good the seafood was the last time I... More
