Birmingham and Michigan are known for Middle Eastern food. We love Elies for lunch. Great salads and the best majadra we ever had. Service is fast and in the summer you can sit outdoors.

We've frequented Elie's for several years. They're a quick walk from our home to their premier location, which is in the middle of the block on Pierce Street. The food is always first rate, and it tastes fresh and flavorful. Their menu is quite varied, Mediterranean/Middle Eastern based. The hosts and the waitstaff are always sincerely friendly, professional, and efficient.... More

We can make a meal out of hummus with Tenderloin and pita bread! A bit pricy, but top notch ingredients and always fresh. I don't mind paying a bit more when places use quality, fresh ingredient! Order a side of garlic sauce for your pita bread! Garlic loves dream come true! But bring some breath mints!

Went in on a whim, glad I did. The service, food and price were excellent. The wait staff were very helpful and attentive and the variety and quality of the food was wonderful! Definitely recommended and will go back again!

Good food and service. It feels cramped inside but the entire front of this small restaurant opens to the street in the summer which is nice.

I live nearby and there are many excellent MiddleEastern restaurants in the greater Detroit metropolitan area. I do like the menu here and have always been satisfied with my meal. The atmosphere is, well, Birmingham, which is an upscale suburb of Detroit. The prices reflect the location. If you want cheaper but equally good food of similar origin, head to... More

This wonderful gem is within walking distance to our home. It never disappoints, and Valentine's Day was no exception. The sautéed calamari is the sweetest and most tender calamari we have had. Our server knew that we had to leave to get to the Symphony in Detroit, and just made things happen without feeling rushed out the door. My husband... More

Elies was super busy on a Tuesday night. We got seated in very close quarters. The waitress took our drink order and the appetizer order. The food and drink appeared very fast. We ordered our entree and when we looked up, our soup and salads were at the table. We hadn't even put a spoon in the appetizer! We asked... More

Thursday is all you can eat rib nite. Really, really good ribs. Fabulous hummus and pita bread. If you like middle eastern food, you will love this place. Nice outdoor seating, weather permitting.

Great fish and middle east flavored food. Fun bar and crowd. Really liked the atmosphere although missed the outside seating due to street construction
