Lots of food and a great cup of coffee

On a recent business trip we stopped here for breakfast one morning. I'd suggest arriving early or during the week - it's obviously a very popular place! The food was good and plentiful - my plate was covered with pecan pancakes - and the coffee smooth and mellow. A great traditional breakfast.

This is a terrific spot. The food is excellent and the service is good. The only downside is that there is often a wait for breakfast, especially during prime time brunch on weekends.

Wanted to debrief after a meeting. Had coffee and tea here. Good place to stop for a business meeting.

Our first pick when we want something special for breakfast! We always order the Dutch Baby Garden (well done) and the big apple or the Dutch treat (not positive of the name but ask for the dish with sliced bananas and strawberrys). Everything else there is great but that is our favorite. Only thing missing is bloody Mary's. No alcohol.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced, good brunch, this is it. Wide selection of choices. Fresh orange juice, and excellent coffee. Suggest taking an egg dish, followed by a shared waffles or pancakes plate. Be prepared for long lines, unless you go after 2 pm, which I usually do.

The pancakes are very good here. The service is good. The food is very well prepared. On the weekends, get here before 8:30 a.m., or you will be waiting out the door. They used to serve “The Big Apple” with a cinnamon glaze that was excellent, but they changed the recipe a few years ago and now it is not... More

We enjoyed an excellent late breakfast at the Original Pancake House in Birmingham, MI. My ‘Continental Crepes’ $7.95 were outstanding. The light crepe filled with sour cream and rolled with Cointreau was absolutely delicious. The other order of ‘Apple Waffle’ $7.75 with cinnamon & apple nectar was also very good with plenty of apple pieces, some quite large. (photos) Parking... More

We popped in for breakfast. There was a tiny line. They keep it moving and we were quickly seated. Our waitress was very upbeat and attentive. the Food was delicious. I had the pecan pancakes, my wife had the blueberry. I highly recommend this place. Very delicious. I don't want to know the calorie count...but it was well worth it.

This place is very special. My best friend and I always go here for our birthdays and holidays. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and of course for food is fantastic! Our favorite is the banana pancakes with tropical syrup. It's soo good! Also in the fall they have pumpkin pancakes with cinnamon butter. The butter is so light... More
