I come to this particular restaurant for 1 thing only: Chocolate chip pancakes! With house made whipped cream none the less! There are some other items on the menu as well that I do enjoy from time to time, such as the crepes with seasonal fruit or even the dutch baby. If you've never been, you're really missing out! Come... More

This restaurant is famous for its fabulous breakfasts and lunches. There's always a wait unless you come after 4:00. arjudd doesn't understand its attraction - try excellent cooking, unusual menu items, wonderful specials, prompt service, and never being hurried even when the line is out into the parking lot. It is not, NOT, an International House of Pancakes franchise! The... More

This one of must stops when I'm in lower Michigan. Always a line, unless you are really early. As should be obvious the pancakes are great and the service is prompt.

This is metro Detroit's favorite breakfast place - every weekend the lines are out the building just to get a table. There's a reason: the food is great! They're known for their pancakes but everything is delicious and they have a great variety of breakfast food. Their fresh squeezed orange juice is the best. Don't be discouraged by the long... More

Every time I drive by on a weekend there is a crowd of potential diners cued up in the parking lot patiently waiting for the privilege to pay a lot for a franchise breakfast. There seems to be real status in eating there after braving the boredom and elements. There are better, cheaper and quicker places to eat. I don't... More

This place is pretty good. Maybe a hair better than IHOP. But always lined up to get a seat. I can't say why. Parking is bad. Service if okay. It's pancakes! Nothing that special. Try another place that you can get into easier.

It's breakfast all the time at The Original Pancake House. The only time there is no line is after 6pm evert day. The Pecan Pancakes are my favorites. Out of town guests beg to go there and are disapointed if the line is too long. The food is served with pride,

We've heard about the food here but had never stopped. Outstanding breakfast foods and great service. The thick sliced bacon is to die for!

I enjoyed this delight when I went home for the holidays. I love their consistency with tradition. Their food and service is so great that there is always a line there, but it moves very quickly. Their staff keeps traffic flowing without disrupting hospitality. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. Now on to the food :) I always... More

Tip 1: Be prepared for a 15-20 minute wait. Well worth it. Come early. Tip 2: order the omlettes....fluffy and delicious Tip 3: order the Dutch apple...OMG to die for. Apple, cinnamon and heaven! We go every time we are in the area. Live it up...it's a new year!
