Good atmosphere, good service, good food. Our party tried a number of menu items and all were well prepared.

We stopped here for a lunch one summer day and sat out on the patio. Lovely setting and very pleasant with a gazebo as well as umbrellas. We ordered then were brought the most amazing slices of bread ever! Home made and delectable! Our orders came but mine was wrong - the waiter had misheard it - but no problem... More

I had a baby shower for my daughter-in-law last weekend and it couldn't have been any nicer. I reserved the small front room which seats about 10 people and it was perfect. It was cozy and elegant and we added our own touches by bringing in flowers and a cake. There was no charge for the room and I had... More

First time here, but walked past many times. Two for dinner with a 6 pm reservation (not necessary). Asked if we wanted to sit on the patio or inside and we chose inside. Upon leaving the patio looked very inviting and cozy with an outside fireplace. Small but requisite menu and service was prompt and professional. The dining areas appear... More

Cute place tucked into a busy area of downtown Birmingham Limited but ecclectic menu and wine list; only mildly overpriced as befitting the locale. Food was good, service was not. The restaurant is divided into many small rooms and there seemed to have been a large group that occupied our waiter's time and attention. After a very long wait, we... More

Derby Day at Cafe Via was a wonderful experience with amazing food and great staff! They had a special menu for the day, with everything on it for only $6 per item, as well as serving from the full menu. We had the Prosciutto with Melon and Arugula, and the Sliders (a mini version of their delicious Cafe Burger). We... More

My husband and I enjoyed a double date dinner with friends at Café Via and found the atmosphere warm, intimate, and leisurely (we did not feel rushed at all, which was refreshing). The seating was very comfortable and we enjoyed the décor and quiet in one of the back rooms (Asian inspired décor in this room was nice as well).... More

A short block from the Townsend where we stay a few times each year, Cafe Via offers the soupcon to its interesting menu with being pet friendly on its comfortable heated porch. My wife had the hamburger which was as good as anywhere and I had the brussel sprouts prepared with a pumpkin sauce and a beet marinated gravelox, All... More
